have similar symptoms with the constant burning pain under my right ribs with no gallstones. I would ask for two tests, HIDA scan which tests weather your gallbladder is functioning and en upper endoscopy. You just may only have GERD which can give you that burning feeling.View Thread
For nearly 3 weeks i been having pain in my gallbladder area, upper aand lower back, and upper stomach pain. I went to the ER less than two weeks ago and had a negative ultrasound and my bloodwork was normal. I was diagnosed with GERD two years ago.
I am a 30 year old male and a bit overweight. My GI doctor ordered a HIDA scan but I had one 1 1/2 years ago which also was negative. I also had a CT scan and upper endoscopy less then 2 years ago, all negative.
My GI doctor thinks its just my GERD and a back muscle sprain due to not strenching before workouts. Its possible my gallbladder isn't working correcting but I also have doubts this is the case since I had similar pain when I was first diagnosed with GERD.
Are there are other possibilities for gallbladder type pain?
I been experience almost the exact same symptoms. I had upper abdominal pain for almost 6 months now. At first, my symptoms were bad. I felt sick, stomach pain, heartburn, chest pain etc. I lost 13 pounds within a few months but slowly improved over time.
My endoscopy showed only mild inflammation. Stress does make your symptoms worse. I started having sleeping troubles thinking the worse. finding ways to releive stress helps.View Thread
