I have been going through SEVERE abdominal, rectal and vaginal pains with chronic constipation. I have had 1 upper and 2 not so good lower gi's done in the past two months NOTHING is working. Dr. put me on a high fiber diet, this makes me even more constipated. She thinks it is IBS. Have not gone to the bathroom in 3 weeks now. I have taken 28 laxatives and drank 3 bottles of magnesium citrate and still have not gone to the restroom. Am now trying the Mirilax AGAIN, it has never helped though. I am at my whits end and do not know what to do. I can not work, sit, sleep, play with my children. The doctor does not understand I am literally being crippled by this. My life has been put on hold for almost 3 three years now. I can not go on like this any longer. I guess what I believe is that IBS is a name that the doctors give to a digestive order that they have no idea what it is and really DO NOT care about the patients health. Your scenario sounds almost like one of my sons though. He has more diarrhea though. They do have an over the counter product called "Digestive Health" that has been a blessing for him. There is 4- different ones for different causes. You should try that and\or probiotics with lots of water. I think it would help you a lot. Good luck and I hope you get better soon! God Bless!View Thread
