First my advice (I am no doctor, but have lived it) is get off the nexium and buy some apple cider vinegar right from your grocery store. 1 to 3 tsps a day in 8 oz of water (might gag for awhile, and some friends have told me they prefer cool to luke warm water rather than cold water) before meals. I would give this a week to work - make a journal so you can be sure if it's helping or not. And dont' just take my word for it - research apple cider vinegar and it's many benefits - i almost think it goes back to the saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away". I have been taking it for over a year now and only under extreme stress to i have any signs of IBS. It's natural, it's inexpensive, it's easy.
Second, i know they say veggies are good for you - but try to avoid gassy ones for awhile. I had to go without broccali for about 6 months.
Third, I know it is so much easier said than done...but relax...take a deep breath. Are there other issues in your every day life that could be causing it? Take a stress quizz.

I'm glad to hear you don't have her taking Miralax anymore - one doctor told me i would just need to take it for the rest of my life and i would be fine. NO WAY! I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter and the not knowing, but don't give up - keep forcing them to do tests and keep trying new options.View Thread
