Hi there. For the past 2 months I've been very sick, especially in the mornings. Every morning like clockwork at 4am my stomach wakes me up cramping and burning and have very bad nausea. If I try to take a Phenegan (spelling) or a Zofran I usually vomit it back up and then dry heave for about 20 minutes. I went to the ER with this MOnday morning because I was so sick and couldn't wait to get in to see the specialist my family Dr. referred me to and they ran a CT scan and the dr. diagnosed it simply as irritated stomach lining. For the first time in my life I'm having to use suppositories for everything because I can't keep anything down. We're supposed to get a call today for my appointment with the specialist but in the meantime I could really use more advice on how to handle to symptoms. I've decided to do a liquid diet for a couple days because I've not had a bowel movement in about 4 days and that's making the pain and nausea worse (I have been diagnosed with IBS). Basically I need to know more about this and what I can do to not exacerbate the EXTREMELY painful symptoms. Other than seeds/acidic foods and dairy is there anything else I need to steer clear of? I'm trying to find ways to cope with this until I can get to the Dr. and get the colonoscopy to see is it's really Diverticulitis. My great grandmother had it so I guess it's hereditary. Sorry for the long post I just have alot going on and don't know what to do!View Thread
