Just read your story. You are definitely not alone in this mess. I'm now 58 years old and most of my life I've had most of everything you mention. Been through umpteen tests through the years. Every endoscopy was severe gastritis and at one point, barretts esophagus. My dr did describe palpitations as the vagus nerve that lies close the heart and I've had them for as long as I can remember. My gastro gave me Librax to calm them down and for me they do work most of the time but I don't want to stay on them forever. When it first started I ended up in the ER and they kept me, thinking I was having heart problems. Did constant testing overnight until next day with no signs of heart trouble. This particular problem stemmed from overeating very fast one night and had pain go to my jaw and a very heavy chest. After much digging, I found that after years of hormone replacement therapy, it had caused polyps to grow onto my gallbladder and it wasn't working properly. Eventually I had to have it out but still have been just as sick as before. I believe the combination of this and my stomach are causing all the trouble. I am now suffering such as you with pressure, aching in my back, and nausea right below my sternum. Just had whole set of blood tests and they were normal but I'm not!!! I'm very tired of tests and am going holistic at this point with a wonderful MD named Dr Cabot who treats all these issues. She is holistic as well as an MD. She started me juicing and believe me it works. Now I am beginning a treatment from her to cleanse the liver and take supplements. She is known as the liver doctor and what people don't realize is that this organ is the basis of your whole digestive system. What dr's believe a lot of the time to be gastritis is actually problems stemming from the liver to begin with. You can find her online under "The Liver Doctor." Give it a read and see what you think! I truly understand!View Thread
