Have the same bloating problem, what I noticed helps in my case is 1) Brush and floss your teeth before bed every night. Your mouth is full of good and bad bacteria and overnight bacteria travels into your stomach and tract, which can un-balance your flora and have more bad bacteria which can cause bloating. 2) Eating yogurt on daily regular basis, and not all yogurt is created equal, so the less sugar and more pro-biotic is something to look for. 3) People recommend eating less carbs on this post, however, I think yeast in breads is healthy aspect for colon's good bacteria army, so daily small portion of bread helps in my experience and hardens the stool, the opposite is true too, absence of bread from the daily diet, leads to softer more watery stool causing plenty of gas, so the goal would be have a diet that leads to thicker stool, and making sure to excrete on regular basis vs irregular trips. 4) Staying away from wheat products 5) Staying away from too much raw vegetables, as they tend to irritate the stomach 6) Eat meals in smaller portions on regular basis and don't overeat to a point you feel sleepy, giving your stomach enough digesting power can reduce bloating and fermentation 7) Eating red meat in small portions suppresses the gas, if there is any gas, its small in comparison to carb based gases Milk could lead to gas due to lack of digestive enzymes, but I noticed small amounts of milk is okay, and overtime you can increase the amounts as your body gets used to it. 9) Stay away from coffee and high caffeine! I noticed a big difference caffeine makes, it produces acid and if you have sensitive stomach it can cause irritation and bloating. Although, I do not see the same irritation with green tea or black tea, coffee is absolutely one of those foods that I actively watch to avoid. Decaf is okay however.
