I honestly dont think I am at a danger point for my weight/height. I am five foot tall and weigth 122. So, I wonder what is the danger anyways. If you have any suggestions or advice/encouragement please let me know. I feel stupid considering my undergraduate degree is in counseling and psychology. Should be like counselor heal thyself kind of thing.View Thread

recently, i have been purging (with or without binging) anywhere between one to six times a day, a new low for me. i've noticed a black tarry substance when i am purging coming up towards the end. i've researched and this is most likely digested blood due to some internal bleeding, but is there any way i can know for sure whether or not i should seek medical attention? my weight is fairly stable (i do not have a scale but gussing i am borderline for the anorexia weight requirement) but i have boughts of dizziness, near black-outs, occasional chest pains while purging, and severe stomach pains and nausea when eating.
if anyone has had a similar experience or knowledge about this, i would b extremely grateful <3View Thread

Now that I'm writing the questions it doesn't seem like I should do that at all but I would love to hear from professionals, bulimics and parents to see what they have done.

I've been having anorexia for as long as I remember.
It becomes really serious when I interact with the opposite sex.
I feel like I'm gonna vomit while swallowing when I get into that situation.
It became more difficult now since I'm going to university so I'll be meeting girls around and therefore I get this anorexia all the time.
I remember I couldn't eat ANYTHING for 2 days because we were in vacation with a family I had a crush on their daughter!View Thread

I've been being pushed to join a sport of some kind in high school but what kind of good exercise summer programs can I go too during summer? I'm currently 14 and most camps stop at 13. I really want to get into something so I won't have to be up for 3 hours exercising because I'm paranoid of gaining weight,
On the other hand, although I've been trying to lose it healthily and broke the habit of skipping meals. My symptoms of calorie counting, fear of gaining weight, weighing on the scale, and excessive unreasonable goal for weight loss have increased dramatically. Maybe my body doesn't feel like it's dying, but my mind does,View Thread
I have always been positive and successful in other areas of my life, with the exception of romantic relationships. (Could never make a romance work for longer than 6 months.) However, it now seems as though that resolve to keep my "out of control eating" from wrecking my life has been worn down. I feel like my entire life is falling apart. To make matters worse, to accept a new job - I moved "to the middle of nowhere" about 2 years ago. My binge eating had a field day.
There is a medical clinic but when I asked them about treatment for a potential eating disorder, they looked at me as though they didn't even know what that meant.
I feel as though I am up a creek & only sinking deeper. I have thought about an inpatient program. (This would provide the access, which I do not have on a day-to-day basis becaise fo the remote area I live.) I feel as though I am that desperate. The one that seems to want to work with me is Rader. However, I am trying to get some independent reviews & can only seem to find one & it was bad. The person shared that their medical director had her md license revoked for over-medicating. I googled it & turns out is is true. That's scarey - but, it was since re-instated.
My request ot you is: (1) Does anyone know of a good inpatient treatment facility for binge & compulsive eating? (2) Has anyone here been to Rader & how was it? (3) Any advice you'd like to share.
Thank you.View Thread
