Thank you ladies for all your input. I am still doing lots of research on it. My aunt is improving which is great news. Her ca-125 score went from 2900 to 1100 after her 2nd chemo treatment. One more to go and if it keeps improving then they will finally go in and remove the cancer. (right now she is too bad off to go under the knife.) She had open heart surgery back in January and that's how all of this was discovered due to fluid around the heart and lungs. Anyways... I have had the ca-125 test last year but scored extremely low. ( 7.6) so my endo did alter it much. I am just gonna be very pro-active regarding my my breast and my repro systems. ( both breast, cervical and ovarian are in my family)....
Thanks again ladies for all your heart and support. Sorry not more talkative on here lately but just really haven't been talkative the last 3 months. Still picking up the pieces.View Thread
Hello there, Sorry I haven't been very talkative the last few weeks. So much as gone on.
So I just found out that my aunt ( dad's side) has stage 4 ovarian cancer. Now I have read alot about endo and the risks of some cancers. What I am wondering is what is the risk for ovarian cancer since I have endo? Any idea how or what I could do to figure out if I am at a higher risk?
Guess I am more in shock then anything.. Both sides of the family have breast cancer that runs in them.... dad's side has the ovarian and cervical cancer as well...
Other then the craziness of losing my best friend and now this. I think I have hit a point in my life where I am questioning every little thing. My endo has been very quiet since my surgery. My bowel problems seems to have finally fixed themselves for now. Pain with sex comes and goes. I am seeking some consulting for the grief of my friend so hopefully life will start getting back to normal soon.View Thread
Thanks ladies. It's been rough but I am hanging in there. Still trying to take it super easy at work. ( I am a restaurant manager and you would think I wouldn't have that much to really do but how after surgery I realized I do a hell of a lot of manual work) hehehe.
So iui doesn't always work? How much did you spend on it? Did your insurance cover any of it?
As for the person responsible for my friend's death. The lord will not be allowing him through the gates. He took the cowards way out and killed himself.View Thread
Well ladies. Sorry I have been absent for the last 3 weeks. I have had a very stressful 3 weeks. I had to return to work ready or not. Ripped my belly button incision twice. My best friend was murdered and now I am working 9 days straight. So it's been crazy stressful...
I had my 6 week post op today. Well. My 1st doctor to diagnois me lied out of her teeth. Almost all of the report was wrong.
This time: 1. I have what my doctor would say is Stage 1 endo. I had only 8 eights of endo on the cul-de-sac area. 2. I had scar tissue on my bowels and few endo implants. 3, My tubes and ovaries look prefect. 4. Doctor found I have cervical stenosis. My cervix is closed too tight for anything to go in but little to come out.
Anyways. Has anyone ever had IUI for cervical stenosis? My doctor is saying that is my option for pregnancy.View Thread
am feeling alittle better. I have had so much stress on me the last three weeks. I really can't tell what pains I am feeling. Rather it's surgery or endo pains. I still have bm troubles every now and then but nothing horrible like before.
Good look with the Aygestin. I am refusing any more hormones and medication at this point. I want to see what is what.View Thread
Welcome back. Glad to hear the Lupron is going ok so far. Sorry to hear about the knees and nausea thou.
I am 2 weeks post surgery. I am feeling good pain but I am having a few GI issues that are very uncomfortable. I go in tomorrow for my post op appointment. However I just found out it's with a nurse and I have wait atleast 4 more weeks before I can actually see the doctor. Wow.. just shocking that you would have to wait 6 weeks before you find out details from a surgery. Just wow.View Thread
So my l-scope last week confirmed that I do have endo on my bowels. So I figured you ladies are the best ones to get information from.
From everyone who has had or has bowel endo , can you give me any ideas of what to expect from this point on? I am still waiting for my post op with my doctor next week but figured yall can give me more information then he will be able to in this area.View Thread

I was having a lap for endo. They were gonna postpone the surgery if I was bleeding heavily. They said as long as I was spotting it was no big deal.
I had the surgery on Wednesday and since then the bleeding has been very heavy and even blood clots. Doctor said to just stop my bcp for a week and have a period then start it back up. We will see what happens.View Thread
