Im so glad this forum has been helpful to you. Im sorry your family isnt more understanding. I think that like someone said earlier, its just fear of the unknown. give them time and encourage them to educate themselves on the illness....wanna hear something funny? the subject of all this is memory loss, and i totally forget what my point was going to be! lol. if i think of it i'll let you know.

Im so sorry about your ankle. (and your dog)....I was just wondering if you had an aura before your t/c and if your vns would work on those type of seizures as well...I had complex partials for years and years before i developed tonic clonics, my neurologist told me that the disease just progressed, and the area of the brain that was affected "spread out" i know not a very good explanation. well good luck with everything. feel better soon

theres nothing special you need to do when hes having a seizure, just turn him on his side (so he doesnt aspirate) -theyve done studies that say the left side is better. Move any objects out of the way, and put a pillow under his head.....but i have a feeling this is not what you are asking and i misinterpreted. sorry. ~MegView Thread

the thing is, they just did a video eeg a little while back and found it originated in my left temporal lobe, i think she wanted me in there just because she was afraid i was having too many seizures and she wanted me to be safe. (at least thats what me, my mother, and my brother got out of it). I guess i understand, but i think she should be doing more, i came to her because she is an epilepsy specialist. I think i'm complaining too much and shes just looking out for my best interest. so forget all that. sorry. Hugs to you too
