For the past 10 years I occasionally experience an episode when outdoors searching the ground (usually cleaning up after my dog) where the image seems to lag, or the details pile up on each other. The image doesn't blur, it remains sharp but it just gets cluttered. I close my eyes for a second and when I open them without moving my focus from a spot on the ground everything is clear. If I move my focus, even a little the sensation returns.
I generally go for months without a recurrence and usually its a single event lasting 15 to 20 minutes. While there is no pain or head ache during an episode there is a sensation in the eyes (?) that is hard to describe though it is similar to the feeling when I clench my fist. Not straining muscles but perhaps impact on blood flow.
I went to an Opthalmologist when it first ocured and was told it was an ocular migrain but the symptoms are not a match.View Thread
