About two weeks ago, I felt some discomfort on my right eye, however when I looked at the mirror, I noticed that there is a piece of hair that is being attached on the back of the upper eyelid. As the days go by, my right eye became red and it stayed red until I saw my doctor and she prescribed me with an antibiotic called Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution USP 0.3% four times a day for seven days to see if I can remove the hair out of my right eye. As I followed the instructions, the severe redness disappears within two days, but the hair was still stuck beneath my upper eyelid. I do not know if it's the hair that is stuck in the upper eyelid or if I am experiencing a condition known as Trichiasis. which is an ingrowth or introversion of the eyelashes.
If there is a possibility of removing the hair without seeing a eye doctor and having to go through painful procedures such as laser hair removal, would it be safe for me to use a nose and ear trimmer just to get rid of this hair? If not, what are other ways to safely remove unwanted hair growth?View Thread
