My son is 6 yrs old. He was diagnosed with a congenital nystagmus at about 6 or 9 months old. He has worn glasses since he was 3. He also has an astigmatism and is nearsighted. He has started the 1st grade this year and we are noticing a big issue with him transposing numbers when he is doing math (seeing 62 as twenty six) and writing lower case b,d,p,q and the number 9 backwards. Could these "dyslexic" tendencies be caused from his other vision problems? Could it actually be dyslexia? And is there any suggestions on how to help correct this issue??
Pandamanda02: If you could that would be great. Anything is worth a shot. I just want to make sure that he is getting the best possible care/ education. Life is hard enough with out added hurdles (if you know what I mean). Thanks in advanceView Thread
