Hello Everyone, for those who are not familiar with me 2013 makes 30 years I've been living with fibro. Am able to enjoy a life which includes a decent job and a realativly normal lifestyle. WebMD has been such a wonderful source of information for lifestyle managemet that improves how much you can do while living with fibromyalgia. I use the isometric stretching everday after I have taken my medication. This year I added a couple compnents that have increased the ability to manage my symptoms. First is; I have worked harder at reducing my consumption of night shade vegetables and it feels as if it has made a positive difference in my flare ups; such as tomatoes and green peppers. Second is; small but simple fountains added to my living space. When I am utilizing meditation and doing my stretching, it helps when I can focus upon the sound of the flowing water while sretching and meditating. This is great for stress reduction and it seems to reduce the severity of my flare ups. I also tried a massage, which also was wonderful for the management of syptoms; however can become costly. For focus I like a variety of games like hidden objects, word games to exercise the brain. I also read a great deal as well. The dietary tips are right on, berries, fruit, whole grains, fish, nuts all great for symptom improvement. In my experience reading what is in things such as dyes and preservatives or additives that are fake can cause flare ups of symptoms.
