Hi Marylyce...I used to take 450mgs of Lyrica per day. I took 225mgs in the morning & another 225mgs at bedtime. Lyrica did not work for me until I reached this dose & took about 3 weeks for it to work but then it provided significant pain relief for me as well as promoting very good sleep. I only lasted on Lyrica for 5 months as the side effects were just to great for me. I wish I could take it as nothing else has worked quite like it. I hope it works for you-give it a chance. So you understand the work thing. Thank You. I was in the insurance business & have even tried retail & other less "stressful" part-time jobs, but any job=tons of stress to my fibro body at this point. On another note, I am sitting here wondering if I can manage to put up Christmas decorations-each year I have done less & less & the thought of even digging out a door wreath & pre-lit tree is freaking me out!View Thread
I was wondering if anyone else out there in fibroland has constatnt dizziness & a heavy feeling head? I take alot of ibuprofin & was wondering if it coulf be from those? Its like I never feel fully awake. I drink 3 or 4 cups of tea in the morning but it does not really make a difference in feeling awake. Arrggh.........just one more funky feeling in this messed up body of mine! I hope everyone is having a low- pain & happy day, DeniseView Thread
This is how I live my days out-longing for 9:30pm to get here so I can take a hot shower & take my Ambien & know my body will be relaxed & in less pain for an hour & a half before going to sleep for the night. Many nights I am awakened with leg pains but I do enjoy sleep throughout the night pretty often.
Its so sad to live out one's days hoping to sleep to avoid feeling pain............View Thread
Same thing, except this type of pain only started about 5 years ago(have had fibro for 10 years). Doctors cannot tell me what it is so I chalk it up to one of the many different fibro pains. Take Care, DeniseView Thread
I used to log 40 miles per week running-fibro stopped me dead in my tracks! I was able to power walk 3 miles walk my dog 2x's a day about a mile & a half each time & that had to stop due to the pain as well. Now I get no cardio of any type-just light weights , crunches & stretches. Walking is just to painful now. It stinks because I was always athletic-never sedentary. I hope you can find a way to get in your cardio , as once you become sedentary for so long it is very hard to overcome. DeniseView Thread
