It really does sound like allergies. How have you ruled them out?? Do you have stuffy head like allergies? My hands and feet get little water blisters for some reason and they flake and itch, but not the type of itching you're talking about. I do hope you find out what is causing it, poor thing, must be driving you crazy.View Thread
Wow, I don't know what to say...God bless you. You are carrying a heavy load. On your feet apparently!!!! FYI, Lyrica made my feet ache so it killed me to even walk, they didn't look swollen but they felt like they were. Hope it works better for you, I'll be thinking of you, Meg.View Thread
I have the same trouble. I can never be comfortable!!!!
I'm either cold and achy or sweating ---No in between!! I never had any problem before Fibro with sweating (and I lived in Georgia for 8 years!)
Now I use the Clinical strength deodorant by "Sauve" it's MUCH less expensive...$5.00 instead of $12.00. My head and in my hair sweats profusely, dripping into my eyes and face with any exertion in summertime.
After years of studying and researching and searching the internet for ANY little piece of information about Fibromyalgia, I finally came to the conclusion that if anyone found the "cure' for Fibro, it would be all over the news and I would not miss it!
My Mother, on the other hand, sees all of the spam and all of the numerous "CURES" that are splattered all over any health site and else where! She, in turn, wants me to try everything and believes the claims even though I try to explain to her that they are hoax's. She is my Mother and therefore want's to fix it for me. God love her. I do.
I started seeing a medical hypnosis therapist. (at Moms request of course.) It really was helpful because one of the many things the therapist help me realise was that Mom was putting a lot of pressure (stress) on me by never letting up. She wanted so badly to be the one who found the "cure" for me that neither of us relised that it was really stressing me out trying to get to this appointment or that seminar or by hounding me with "have you tried this or ordered that yet?"
After I realised this and then realised I was going to have to explain it to Mom, I knew she was going to be hurt. She was only trying to help....
Well, she was hurt. But, within a week...She got it! She really got it!
Now, we both understand that until there really IS that CURE, I have fibromyalgia.
Along the way I have found vitamins, suppliments and meditation, positive attitude, plenty of water, some exercize, self hypnosis and no stress are the best things I can do for me.
Realising that I will never be the body I used to be is hard, I havent quite gotten that into my brain yet. But stressing over that and being depressed does not help either. I was extremely active and thin, now, I'm tired all the time and in pain and fat. BUT.... I'm I'm NOT as tired and in pain as I was when this all began so, I am making progress in my own way.
thought I'd post this as a good tip since others agreed. I thought I'd put it out there for everyone.......... Memory Foam!!!! I found it was cheaper to buy 2-2 inch foam toppers than it was to buy the 4 inch topper. I LOVE IT and would recommend that everyone get them. One of my favorite products that helped with my FM!!!!!!!!!! Love to All, Meg P.S. One of those long body pillows helps me a lot too!!! It keeps my ankles, knees, elbows and breasts from pressing on each other. I used to wake up so many times per night because my knees hurt so bad from the weight of them pressing together. Another one of my "cant live withouts!!!!!!!!!!" LOVE, MegView Thread

I used to not be able to put my knee on the bed to make it because it hurt my knee too bad, now, it is no problem. One of my favorite products that helped with my FM!!!!!!!!!! Hi Poor Baby, People are always saying "If you have your health, You have everything!" Well, what if you dont have your health?
I go through periods where I feel that I have lost everything. Honestly, that year I was dx'd, I really DID lose almost everything. My Dad died, my father in law died, both of my dogs died, I lost my job, my husband divorced me, I lost my step children, I lost my home, friends, etc...
There is no one who understands about what you are going through more than the folks here--on this site!
Most times I just read to see that I am NOT alone but when I post, therre is always someone who responds. I read the posts over and over again to really let the words sink in and to apprecciate the time it took for someone to sit and type back to me. I dont know of any other sites like this one and believe me, I searched long before I found this.
I hope today is better for you, we really DO understand. Love to All, MegView Thread
