Yes I have had those same feelings. I was diagnosed with the Costrocondritis for the sternum pain. This was when I was having symptoms and did not know what was going on. I also had the electrical sensations. It's just so crazy to me when I hear others describe what I am feeling or have felt in the past. The good thing is that you are here with people who understand and can comfort you. This website has been a valuable tool in dealing with this illness.View Thread
I too have been having problems with my leg. My left leg was swollen from my knee up and below my knee. I actually went to the emergency room out of concern for blood clots. I was given a shot of dilatin for pain which I'm sure is a narcotic which really gave me pain relief that I have not felt in a while. Of course it wore off but I'm ashamed to say that I wouldn't mind getting another - lol. They gave me Motrin and sent me home. I have been suffering since and walking is very difficult. I really miss just walking and moving around. I do feel good when I am in water and plan on getting a perscription for water therapy so that I can move more.View Thread
During a hearing for State Disability, the judge asked me had my doctor discussed weight loss to releave my FM symptoms. I told her know but thought about the question. Does being overweight having anything to do with getting FM and also releaving the symptoms. I was on a very good health regima before I was stricken with FM but my routine has suffered greatly. From what I have read, it appears that weight does not have very much to do with it, but I'm sure that weight loss and a fitnees routine would make me feel better. I would love to get your expert opinion on this.View Thread
I hate dependining on pain meds to feel barely functional. I just went through a very stressful move and have also been dealing with the loss of my income and waiting on SSD. I was out getting help with a utility bill and almost went to emergency I was feeling so bad and really unsafe driving. I took one 50mg tramadol in the morning and waited until evening to take a Loretab. I was literally crying in the shower trying to get some relief. My children adult children really want me to be the way I was and we talk about me getting back to my exercise routine. I think my son thinks that I can exercise my way back to not needing a walker to get around. I have been have severe memory loss and confusion. The only way I can end this post is to say my faith in God is very strong and he helps me to endure so I take it a day at a time. I'm alive and I love life so its all good.View Thread
Even though I have been having symptoms that led up to my being in pain and extremly fatiguied. I have been in this condition since December and there are not many changes on a daily basis. I notice that some people speak of a flare as if it is different from the daily misery. Can someone please tell me the difference if there is one. I am hurting and exausted right now and have just been laying around. When I get up and I am able to go somewhere it really a big deal for me.
Hi Bedilya - I have knee and hand swelling (all of my knuckles). I am pretty sure this swelling is due to FM. I have swelled up from medication (not the same), I have swelled up from high blood pressure (not the same). I had to go to the ER and have my wedding rings removed and believe me I tried everything. I also have learned more here at this sight than any doctor. I feel very informed and confident for my next visit so that he can serve me and look me in my eyes and here what I have to say. If he can't do that (I'm paying him), I will find someone who will. You must be your own advocate if you don't want FM to run your life.
I had a good day today. My sister made me get out of bed and took me to a mexican restaraunt. Then we came to her house and I got in the pool. OMG! It did wonders for my body. I was able to twist and turn and it just made me so relaxed. One thing I can say with pride. My sister loves and cares about me and understood what I was going through. I feel so grateful and up built. I have stayed in the bed for 3 days before and it seems that I here alot of people use that number. I plan on joining the Y and I will definitatly be using water therapy to help me to deal with the dragon from now on.
Good Morning - I am truly learning alot about what has been going on all along with my body such as headaches, dizziness and being unstable, fogginess, costrocondritis. I also had a bout of Bells Palsey and I was wondering if there is a connection or is this just something that happen along the way?
As the Bible says - "Love never fails". It sounds like you discern a need and I think you should follow your loving instinct to go see about her. You won't be sorry and she will probably really enjoy your visit. You will both benefit.
