I was diagnois with Fibromyalgia about four months or so ago, which I knew I had. The pain was unbearable. The first doctor I went to just wouldn't listen. My brother has lupus and so was set that I had lupus also, told her I did not like taking pills but when I left her office I have like 7 prescriptions. My husband got transfer due to his job and my insurance found me a doctor in PA and he's the best. He's a rhuemotoglist and he actually sets and listens to me and how I've been doing since my last visit with him. The pain and what I found that caused it, from stress to eatting the wrong food. When I need to talk to him between our visit I call and he always call me back. He listens and my husband well I cannot explain. He's always at my doctors appointment with me and asking questions to learn more and what he can do to help. What we can eat and not eat, what massages he can do to help me and what to look for if the pain gets to the point its time for the ER. This is new to me and very aggravating. I workout and hurt, I whether give child birth than suffer with this crap, and yes I have given child birth and with no drugs wasn't bad at all.

yes its been a while, things have changed so much since I last post. My doctor makes sure I get a Vitamin B12 shot once a month and my Vitamin D. I try to take my other vitamins but there are times when I forget, lol. I've learn not to eat mustard, certain seasoning, dressing, sour cream and have to deal with 2% milk, ugghhh. Stress I still struggle at times not to have any but at least no DRAMA, jeez. Besides that I'm doing okay. They are keeping an eye on my liver because I was on a tyneol thing my doctor in Indiana had put me on and they see certain signing, don't figure. She had me taking over 300 mg. three times a day. So we are keeping a eye on my liver. So you all be careful stay away from asprins especially tyneol. Besides that I have a new grandbabies, now I have 5--2 boys and 3 girls. Best gift God has given me besides my two kids. Now I get to see them grow up I hope. Hope all is well with you. Keep me post g/f.View Thread

It's been a while since my last post and setting reading all of your responses. OMGOSH where to begin, lol. Been pretty busy with everything but... doing good. I find that its foods certan foods like milk, mashed potatoes but what really kicks it off is mustard, mayo, ketchup and absoutely NO PIZZA, No hamburgers, no breads really. I do eat toast which don't seem too bad. I still hurt but its not gotten to worse. At times my legs, feet seems so tight that I don't want to walk. My arms are so tender to the touch but I make do. I just try to place it to the side unless I'm really badly hurting. I still workout, walking, crunches, dancing and hurt through it all but have to continue. I hope you all are doing better also. Thanks for the responses. Oh yeah grandmother again so now I have five beautiful grandbabies to keep me movtiatived. LOLView Thread

Hi I'm Beth and I've only been diagnois with Fibromyalgia for about 3 or 4 months. One doctor missed by telling me I had lupus, WRONG. LOL
Welcome! I am 47 yrs. old and have 4 grandbabies, two grown children 27 and 26 and enjoying life to the fullest. There are days and nights where I cannot sleep or be still cause I hurt so bad. i write down the things I've done different that day and try to narrow down what trigged it this time. Sometimes its stress, sometimes its the food I had, sometimes is the drinks or dessert. But mostly stress, but i deal with it and move forward. I cry and my husband just holds me.
My brother has lupus and I have a 1st cousin who had lupus and fibromyalgia both combine. So mine could have been worse.
God will see me through. I'm going through this for a reason, maybe to help someone or help in narrowing down when and what triggers it the most. Never know do we?View Thread

Yes I know stress really triggers mine but also the wrong food. I've notice when I eat fry food I hurt I'm miserable so no more fried chicken and that sucks because I'm from the south. But living where I do now really helps. I love the outdoors but the heat down south didn't work with my asthma. So yes I have fibromyalgia and asthma together which sucks, lol. But I will not let this win. I will continue to wrtie down eveything different I've done daily and what triggers it and still live life and hopefully keep the same doctor for a while.
Yes my husband is great, my children which are grown and I have grandbabies don't seem to somewhat understand but my husband explains what he can when they ask.View Thread
