I, as everyone here has stated have complete empathy for your situation. But, I beg of you, please never feel like giving up. Do everything in your power BUT give up.
Probably for the first time in your life you are going to need to be selfish! Take care of yourself, read everything you can from different sources. Find a Dr. you feel comfortable with and trust what he tells you. Try some alternative things like massage or accupuncture.
About a year ago I felt like I could no longer go on in the pain I was in. I did those things, I am on the appropriate amount of medications and pain medications and I go to therapy.
Please, take care of yourself!

Anyway, I have recently started taking melatonin and it has been FABULOUS
I am so happy because it is so much cheaper and natural.View Thread
I love my dogs...they have spent many a day on my bed with me, offering companionship, love and entertainment.
As far as exercising, I know I need to, but everytime I do, somehow I manage to overdo it and am in bed for 2 days. I am trying to work on my eating behaviors this week also.
Lots of love and hugs,

Sorry to hear that your pain has increased. It sounds like you have a doctor that listens to you and is working well. That seems to be a treasure.
Remember baby steps!
I don't know about you, but if I have too much to tackle at once I can get overwhelmed and quit it all.Best wishes,

Then I realized that all my bumps were symmetrical. If I had a bump on my right arm, in the forearm, it would be on my left arm in the exact same place. They would radiate pain and I ended up in the ER. It was there that I showed him the symmetry. I found out later, from my massage therapist and my pain specialist that they were trigger points. My trigger points vary in size all over my body.
The pain doc was reluctant at first, but after he gave me trigger opoint injections in the eye of the bump, they receded.
I don't know if this is true in your case, but it is what happened to me.
Best of luck and lots of prayers to you!

This discussion did seem to get out of hand, and I think the person that stated that we are all just so frustrated by our own pain, suffering and misunderstanding hit the nail on the head. Anytime narcotics are mentioned, I do feel a little guarded as well because my family has tormented my need for them.
I personally have tried everything. I do take Lyrica and Cymbalta. They help, but did not take away the excruciating pain. Then I went to Tramadol and Lortab. I found that 2 Tramadol and 1 Lortab were all that would work, but for a very short time. Percocet was then prescribed and I just never knew how to take it appropriately to manage the pain. I tried marijuana and it would help me be able to get a task complete, but only for about an 1 and 1/2 hour.
Butran, a pain patch, was a God send to me. It was the first time that I could actually function like a normal person most of the time. Unfortunately it costs a lot of money and my insurance refused. Now I am taking a low dose of morphine and it seems to just be controlling the pain.
We are all different, and I think you have to research, try, and research some more to find what works for you.
Love to all.
