I was a bit startled to realize that it getting hard to remember a time when I was not in pain or exhausted. I know I did not always feel like this. I had a normal childhood, teenage years and 20s. I just turned 40 this year and I know I have been in pain on a daily basis for at least 13 years. I was only diagnosed 2 or 3 years ago.
With the fibro fog things get fuzzy and it is harder to remember such things.
My primary care is referring me to a specialist because I have been in terrible pain every day for the last month. Not to mention the exhaustion! I have been narrowing down the specialists in my network and it is between a physical medicine specialist or a pain management specialist. I know we cannot recommend a particular doctor but what type of doctor do you work with?
Dr. P and all, lidocaine iv infusion : My Pain Management Clinic has suggested that I try lidocaine iv infusion. I will find out more at my appointment on 8/27. I have tried looking it up online but have not found much information.
Can you explain a bit about it and suggest some questions for the doctor?
Has anyone here tried this? What were your results? Thank you!
I do not have hair pain but I get terrible skin nerve pain. It gets so bad that the touch of fabric or even air movement is unbearable. It is on my left thigh and my right hand. It reminds me of having a terrible tooth ache that you cannot get rid of.
The doctor gave me lidocaine cream to try but it made no difference. I have not found anything to help it, it just comes and goes.
