A quick check-in. I'm slowly crossing off irems on my Christmas To Do List. Hoping to accomplish a few more things this weekend. I enjoy doing the Christmas preparation stuff - but it's when those things are in addition to the everyday things like laundry, grocery shopping and house cleaning that I start to get stressed out. I'm learning, though. Pace - pace - pace myself.
Hopefully, I'm not going to jinx it - but the recent flare seems to be dying down a bit.
Wishing everyone a great Friday and weekend with no or little pain - and good sleep!View Thread
No edema here - but I have had tingling in my face. Mostly on my chin. A tingling sensation that seems to last for a couple of days and then goes away as sudden as it started. It could be weeks or months before I would feel the tingling again. I also have had tingling in my hands and feet.
When my Dr put me on an SSRI (citalopram or Celexa) the tingling seemed to stop especially in the face. When a flare shows up, I will often feel the tingling in my hands and feet - but rarely the face anymore.View Thread
Sending good health vibes to all! No fun having added illnesses and issues on top of FM!
I had a productive weekend - and I didn't overdo it! Yay, me! I constantly have to remind myself that everything can't be done at once. I made some good progress on gift shopping - but there is still more to do. I didn't get to addressing the Christmas cards yet. Maybe I'll work on that a bit this evening. I finished the crocheted baby blanket. Still have some ornaments to crochet. Each year I make an a ornament for co-workers, friends and family. Got a bit of a late start this year - but fortunately there is still time! I have finished what I need right now. One for my hair stylist - who I see tomorrow night. And one for my massage therapist who I will see Thursday evening.
Don't want to jinx it - but I feel that my current flare seems to be fading a bit. Hoping for some good sleep one of these nights.
Wishing everyone a good Monday with little or no pain - and good sleep tonight!View Thread
Mimi, hopefully you don't have to go back to the dentist any time soon. I'm with you - going to the dentist is not fun. Glad you got some good rest last night.
Dakota, I hope the antibiotics work and you get rid of the cough. I'm sorry you have that to deal with along with the flare. (((Hugs))) I'm envious of you having your Christmas shopping done. I've still got quite a bit to do.
I need to cross a few things off of my Christmas To Do List so that I won't start to panic about not getting things done. This evening I will hopefully finish up a blanket I'm crocheting as a gift for my new little cousin. Then I can start working on my annual ornament project. Each year I make ornaments for friends and family. Last year I did crocheted snowflakes. I've decided to do some crocheted stars this year.
Wishing everyone a great day with little or no pain - and good sleep tonight!View Thread
Haven't checked in for a while and thought I'd say Hello!
In November I enjoyed a great vacation in southern FL! It was very relaxing trip with lots of warm weather and sunshine.
Fortunately, when I got back home here to No. IL just before Thanksgiving, it was in the 50s and 60 here! We're going into a cold snap after just a little warm up and the temperature and weather changes have caused quite a flare! We were 70 degrees just on Monday - and now today we may get to 40.
Sleep has not been very good this week with the flare. I hope we can settle into a more consistent weather pattern and maybe the flare will subside. I can hope.
I hope that everyone is doing as well as can be - and you're not overdoing it with the holidays coming! I have to remind myself of that all the time. Making lots of lists of things that need to be done and pacing myself!
Wishing everyone a low or no pain day - and good sleep tonight!View Thread
