20 mins standing woul be a good day. I have 6 herniated disk the ones in center of back fused together on their own. Seems that's not normal. The other two are base of spine and neck. Told I now have DDD in spine. About a month ago broke a bone in my rt knee. After X-rays they said you have osteo arthritis in both knees. Didn't you notice their swollen the size of your lower thigh?
Ugh no everybody keeps slamming me with steroids and all I see is a 60 lb weight gain! I let them inject needles to reduce swelling and pain. The bone spurs seem to be hitting nerves since then and my legs just wanna give way when they feel like it. I use a cane going out side or around house. It's very painful.
My neck now cracks if Im sitting and turn to look at someone to the side, the popping sound is so loud my husband has heard it.
Very often I hear someone yelling only to find out it's me in pain.
It you went to a hospital type urgent care they could probaly take all the X-rays give you an idea and recommend someone for 2nd opinion I Belive I'll be using some wheeled device in 2yrs at the most. They all ready said unsure when I would have to get knee replacement but I would no question. Scares me.
If they start talking about surgery on neck or back get a 3rd opinion and read the back group here. Not pretty.
Take care let us know what you find out. Oh yes wear the most supportive shoes you can. I've bought Alegria which you can put your own orthotic inside. Cute shoes. Don't look like those types of shoes. Some Clark's and Privo- I think I'm really tired- do tennis shoes. I'm really pulling for you. Hope I've helped and your not aloneView Thread

If you can get your words out this is a great time to journal or write. Glad to see you more often. Take care

I myself journel alot and write poetry. If I get stuck on a word I end up getting very stressed out. I take a piece of paper and describe the word. Anything will help me. Is it equipment , a certain color, what's it used fori etc then whichever I was working on the next day I'll read my notes and wonder why I couldn't get that word out. It's then easy for me to continue.
Let us know if singing helps. It may be a different section of the brain and thus work. Who knows its fibro...

My husband will also say the correct word if I say train and meant car. That bugs me. You know we don't have a train. Don't you think they should just go with the flow? My girlfriend always did. But she had fibro so??View Thread

The best heartwarming gift was I got my husband to talk about his family and growing up in Hawaii This was major. Then when I got home I read he's cute card about sometimes it's a roller coaster ride.
He then wrote we will always take that ride side by side. You are the essence of my life. Our love will just get stronger please stop thinking i could love you less because your sick i love and care more because your doing your best and your laughing again
May you get stronger each day and if not I'll still be by your side learning how to do laundry
Really touched my heart. Had been feeling a little unworthy of love with all these migraines, shingle outbreaks, CFS & fibro pain from the snow and - temps. He reassured me 100%. I'm so content today.
I hope you all got messages of caring and support.
Please share with us. If you didn't I'm sending A touch on your shoulder and a smile your Way!
. Take care everyoneView Thread

. I hit the wrong reply button. What can I say I had my eyes displayed today. That and a foggy mindView Thread
I told my husband my time was done when the CEO's secretary wanted me to write 10 separate tkts for every hour flights and he's flying first class. It wasn't needed.
I told her and her reply was to shake then bend over looking over the top of her glasses and in a now deep voice said " if John Doe wanted a band of dancing monkeys to greet him at the gate the would (she snapped)".........I looked up at her gave her a pleasant smile then looked over my glasses and heard my self say " Jane doe could you do me a favor and call me and tell me what flight he's on cause I REALLY want to see those monkeys. That's fantastic!" I then turned to my computer, thought I would have to do CPR on her, she was beet red and huffing up a storm. She turned and left and I picked up the phone and said I think 8 yrs is enough. Can I leave? My honey was so great he said " get outta there and start having some fun. So I did. I still laugh thinking about it. Which I could type the tone of her voice. Sooooo funny!!!!!!!View Thread

Have your Dr , if he hasn't, chk your thyroid, vit B 12 and hormone levels. If your on thyroid Meds have him run the test to see if your body is absorbing it. I failed that test when they made a switch. I was so tired. Terrible! Many of us have CFS. That came first for me. Like a mono I couldn't shake. I swear just those two make me wanna wrap up in a heated blanket I'm so tired I can't stay awake and I hurt bad with the snow and cold weather.
If your seeing a specialist ask them about CFS & CFID. TYPE INTO A SEARCH ENGINE AND YOU'LL GET GOOD INFO. You may hav this also. I do weekly B12 shots. Easy to do and give me about a two day boost.
I've been fighting so long I've almost forgotten how long but at minimum 15yrs. I have a handicap tag which really helps for Dr visits or trying to grocery shop. Easy to get. Some states have the form on line to print off or go to the DMV. I filled out everything I could so I just needed his sig. Seems they -Drs- have trouble doing anything extra these days.
Look in the tip section on the rt side. At the bottom you'll see " more". Someone made a list of some sites. I didn't see any hawking Meds. That gets my goat big time.
I've already forgotten which muscle relaxer your trying that's making you too sleepy. Could just be you have long days. Ask for an extended release one. I think FLEXERIL has one that goes by a different name. Anyway you could call your drug store for the name. Started with an "A".
You could also ask you Dr to let you try a med for sleep disorders. It's called NUVIGIL Will clear the fog from your mind and you can remember things
. I don't take it daily though it's written that way. I just want it to keep working when I need it bad!!!Just read tonight they've found a P tracer (whatever that means) in our bodies. A tracer. Have to finish reading then I'll post it.
Take care my thoughts are with you !
""If I tell you my problems it's because I TRUST you with my feelings . Please know I'm not whining I just need to share the burden and talking can lighten this load. I ask for nothing in return , but a hug would be such comfort.""

Take care all.View Thread

I'm trying to keep her quiet but she feels like running. That made her hurt
. Anyway your card will be in the mail as soon as I'm better. Got an out break. Our PO box #'s are close. Is it 446? Just say yes or no and then I can tell for sure.
Take care. I'm staying so warm wrapped up
