I also try to follow the Gluten free diet. I do feel better when I follow it. Please know that it won't necessarily help you lose weight. You have to still watch what you eat. There is a lot of gluten free items that aren't necessarily healthy for you. For instance potatoes. But the gluten free does help with inflammation and I do feel better when I am on it.View Thread
Yes. I started falling last year also. I have fallen 4 times in the last 6 months. I have always fallen on my right ankle. But these times I fell on my left ankle, my knee and on my back. I don't know what causes it either. I went to a neurologist and he told me my gate was fine and that I just need to not wear such cute shoes. REALLY!!! I haven't falled in a while...but I do bump into things, fall over and have a lot bruises and bumps. It's very annoying!!!View Thread
Thanks everyone for all of the great comments. It helps to know you are not the only one going crazy I live in Northern California so it's hot in the summer. I just got a convertible and I have my top down all the time. Even when it's 50 degrees out. It's a great help.View Thread
The neurologist told me my fainting spell was probably no big deal. I was probably just really excited about my niece's wedding that day. NOT!!!
The funny thing about the shoes is I was wearing shoes that were flat and I have stopped wearing high heels so that I don't fall. Both times I fell though I was wearing flat shoes I just thought his comment was hysterical.View Thread
I also have cramps in my feet, legs, arms, and hands. I also went the the neurologist and he told me I am fine. Not only do I get cramps and can't walk but I also fall a lot. The neurologist told me that my balance is fine and to get shoes that aren't so cute. Can you believe that!!!! I also passed out on Saturday just sitting on a chair.
They have checked me for MS but feel everything I have going on is FM. Who knows? I do get tired of the pain at night though.View Thread
I don't usually post on here but I read all of your posts and get great advice from you all. Thank you for that.
Here is my question. Does anyone else get extremely hot all the time. I have thought it was part of menapause but now I am wondering if it's part of FM. When I say extremely hot..I mean I can just be sitting and get so hot I am going crazy. I have my air conditioner at 64 degrees in my house. If I start doing anything that takes a little more movement I turn beet red and everyone thinks I need to go to ER. My body gets so overheated I need to sit down with ice packs to cool myself down a little bit.
I am finding I have a new symptom. I have had soreness in my elbows and wrists, but as of the last 2 days my left wrist feels like it's broken I know it's not broken I haven't done anything that would have caused it to be broken. But man, it hurts so bad. I am even thinking of getting a brace.
Does anyone else have that type of pain with FM?View Thread
