Hi Mimi, thanks for welcoming us new members. If you get a chance could you let me know what you mean by Wrath of the Dragon? vitamin D is one of the things which showed a low count on my blood test. My doctor said to get 15 minutes of sun three times a week. Not easy with all the rainy weather we have been getting! He did not seem to trust the test results I showed him because he had not ordered them. I went online and ordered the home testing kit from ZRT labs. Have to wait till October to see my endocrinologist and beg her to retest within the insurance network.
I don't have experience with infra red light but use another light therapy. Omnilux. blue light and red light to treat inflammation and bacteria. It helps for my facial neuralgia and steroid induced rosacea. Also like the ultrasound home unit for body pain. Had to pay for those two expensive items. the gadgets I got paid for by insurance where the tens unit and decompression unit for the neck. the rheumatologist and PT people at the hospital helped me get that. Only a small copay for those. Not sure if you could get that financial benefit for the infrared light you are interested in.
good luck and please let me know if you get the infra red home unit how that is working out for you.
all the best.View Thread
Dear Nancy, Hugs to you too. thank you for sharing your special dream. such a reassuring wonderful dream to let you know your parents will always be with you. Like you I have also planted to symbolize the ongoing connection to the loved ones which have already moved into the next realm. I found little angel statues and placed them nearby so they can keep watch. As my tears begin to flow suddenly the sun emerges. I take this as a sign to return to the joyful activities of the day. Dear Margaret, Hugs to you too! I am sorry those words brought tears. I often think it would be nice to shut out the pain we encounter but then how would that affect our joy? Numbness diminishes not just the one but also the other emotion. so I look at my mug with the picture of the sailer in the storm and remember we have to find a way to be brave in the storm and ride those waves with hope in the heart. taking good care of ourselves is also taking good care of the living legacy left behind by our mothers and fathers. They want the best for us. Love, GabuschkaView Thread
when conditions are not right, they withdraw...when I lost my mother I suffered a lot...I dreamed of my mother ....We were having a wonderful talk...when I woke up I felt very strongly I had never lost my mother...I understood then that the idea of having lost my mother was just an idea...it was obvious in that moment that my mother is always alive in me...she is the moonlight caressing me, very tender, very sweet...wonderful! ...I knew this body was not mine but a living continuation of my mother and my father and of all my ancestors....from that moment on all I had to do was feel the earth under my feet to remember that my mother is always with me, available at any time

I envy your post menopausal state. can't wait to get there. I am almost 52 and my cycles are as regular as an alarm clock. did you do something to induce the blessed state of post menopausalism? If yes, please share your secrets and my husband will shower you with thank you flowers for at least ten years.View Thread
Dear Annette, your family history is so fascinating it should be published in a book! I loved reading your brief overview. It is so colorful and diversified. have you already done some online search for your ancestry? I know with Europeans it gets tricky sometimes. My uncle had to get back and search church records in the carpathian mountains to piece together his and my mothers (his sisters) ancestry. He and his wife really enjoyed the trip there though. great historical sights, mountain climbing etc. Europe is a great adventure for Americans especially when you are searching for your family roots.
can I bring by my dogs to your place to get some grooming done?
Had to bath one of them today after she toured the muddy creek on a walk. What a mess!
Take good care,

dear Nancy, garlic capsules lowered my cholesterol to a level were it actually became too low. i took them daily while caring for a flock of sheep and goats for more than a year. Kept the bugs away and my stamina up. found out low cholesterol is not good because we need a certain amount to keep as from going insane! couldn't find anything on the net on how to raise the cholesterol. I stopped taking the garlic capsules and ate more eggs. the next test showed perfect cholesterol levels. Not sure if it was from avoiding garlic or eating more eggs. the person at the health food store told me he lowered his cholesterol by taking flax seed oil.
PS: Garlic is a blood thinner and I had to avoid it for two weeks before surgery. also some people can't digest garlic too well and it can cause digestive upsets. I love it for cooking and preventing infections.View Thread
