Hi foreversore, Thanks for the warm wishes and greetings. I too have FM and arthritis of the spine.. I too am in a funk. I am going to try Ultram as Vicoprofen (Vicodin and Ibuprofen)does not give relief for the pain as it once did, and also not lasting as long . Hopefully Ultram will help. I have used it before, and the right dose did help for more hours and gave more relief as well, so we'll see. I hope you find some relief from your pain Monday, if not sooner. I know that hot potato feeling WELL. I went for years without receiving the help I needed for that same reason you peak of. Just pace yourself as Mimi (Dollbug) says. Don't overdo it. Let us know how it goes Monday. Take care and best wishes. MaryView Thread
Caprice! Hi! So nice to hear from you. You have an obvious gentle heart and it made my day just to hear from you. Thank you so much! Have a nice weekend, don't overdo it, and ((((((GENTLE HUGS)))))) MaryView Thread
I agree with Mimi(Dollbug) and CarolynWest's replies. Some antidepressants are known to help with pain, although they have their own individualized side effects as well. Most take a few weeks to get relief of pain though. But, I still agree with Mimi and CarolynWest. Most physicians seem to be at a loss themselves and very dismissive of our symptoms and PAIN. So we half wonder if we are crazy , a hypochondriac etc. I totally can relate. Try addressing a question to Dr P . I just have so much faith in him. He tries to give the best answer without dismissing you or talking down to you etc. Best wishes, MaryView Thread
Hi An_249160. I had that same problem with hair follicles a number of years ago. It lasted for years too. DAILY! At the time, there was no rhyme or reason why, so I cannot offer a remedy. That pain is a number 10 too as I remember! But it did finally go away, after a number of years (around 5 I think) ugh. Then more recently my hair started falling out in handfuls. Not really sure what made that happen either. Switched a few meds with physician approval and it still falls out , but not as much. I'm lucky I have a thick head of hair to start with. Don't try to handle it on your own An. Make your family sit down and HEAR you! Any burden is lightened when shared and they NEED YOU as much as you need them, so they dern well better LISTEN! BTW I have the hand tremors also, another no rhyme or reason symptom, but it does seem to be worse when pain is worse. I hadn't even noticed it. My daughters did and said "why are your hands shaking so much?" SO now I notice it is worse when pain or anxiety is worse. OR BOTH. ASK your physician, ASK Dr.P here, our physician expert, or research. As I remember I was so ill at that time , it was just another symptom and I had no energy to research. My family doctor at the time had no answers, or even seem to want to know. UGH! I think we can all relate to that. I hope you have a compassionate physician, that you feel comfortable with, who will try anything to help you. If not , keep looking til you find one. Dr. P is a compassionate doctor, understands and may have some answers for you. My prayers and thoughts are with you. God Bless. MaryView Thread
WOW! I forget how much this site interests me when I am away from it for too long. It sometimes is sad (the many questions, complaints etc) and the compassion shown by replies from others is always encouraging to me. I sometimes get down also from reading others' stories. But knowing others out there in the world who know and care is a blessing I need to come back here for more often! Also, the expert advice is priceless. Thank you Doctors and other professionals advising us. Hope you know we appreciate your attention and caring. God Bless every one of us! Thanks for being here! I will try to come in more often and uplift some as I have been. I know how it feels to complain. We have to get it out somewhere, and here we can without getting the look like we're CWAZY! Plus the vast amount of things we learn that may help us, I should be here daily! Gonna try. Thanks for readin my post.View Thread
