It's so cold today! At 6:00 am, it was 31° Brrrrrrrrrr! Definitely have my layers on. At least the sun is shining, that makes it a bit better. I thought I replied to Wednesday's post, but either it disappeared or my internet kicked out when I hit post lol
Nothing really new, just trying to stay warm and keep moving. Just wanted to check in. Have a great day! *hugs*View Thread

Sorry to hear your suffering, your not alone. I am 33 and was diagnosed about a month & a half ago. I also went to many Dr's trying to figure out what was wrong. My symptoms were chronic pain (back & neck), joint pain, headaches, extreme fatigue, etc. I was also diagnosed with depression and anxiety at 22. I've tried anxiety meds, but I don't like the way they make me feel. I do take an antidepressant.
I also went through years of Dr's telling me I was "too young" for back/neck pain, and joint pain. If we are too young for this, then maybe something is going on, right?!?

Sounds like you need to start a journal and document your symptoms every day. This helped my Dr to understand how I feel on a daily basis. If your Dr. won't listen to that, it's time to find a new one who will. I second getting your Vitamin D level tested. Most of us are deficient. This can make a big difference.
Hang in there, keep track of your symptoms so your Dr. can understand you better. Good luck! *hugs*View Thread

Sending prayers your way! *hugs*View Thread

As far as bruising, are you anemic? I have days where I feel "bruised all over" too. Couldn't hurt for your Dr. to order blood work right?
Totally agree on telling it like it is! No offense taken LOL I am the same way. I don't have energy to waste! Good for you

Good luck! *hugs*View Thread

I went to my psychiatrist appt. yesterday, first time there since FM diagnosis. We discussed FM and how it makes me feel physically and emotionally. I have recently started meditating, and said that I can't seem to "clear my head" while doing this. However, I DO notice a difference in breathing (deeper) and feeling a bit more relaxed. My Dr. said that just these two things are helpful and it's ok if I can't totally clear my mind. Every little bit helps

Today is overcast and raining on & off. Yuck. So, I'm working on distracting myself from aches & pains. My kids (ages 12 &
will be off Monday & Tuesday, so we have a four day weekend! Hopefully it won't rain too much, so we can get outside and enjoy it. On Saturday, I hopefully will be going with my brother (age 27) to his first psychiatrist appt. He has been battling depression since his late teens. I see a lot of myself in him, and have been trying to help and (gently) steer him towards a Dr. This will be a breakthrough, so please cross your fingers for us!
Wishing everyone a wonderful day! *hugs*View Thread

It's about 62° right now, overcast and very damp here too (Western NY). Not that we need to look outside to know the weather, but I'm feeling it today. Not looking forward to winter. Since FM dx, I'm realizing how the weather effects me. I'm glad I know this now, but doesn't make it any better

My heating pad is my best buddy right now lol
Hope everyone is doing well today *hugs*View Thread

I have only read the Foreword and Introduction, but I already LOVE this book! For anyone with FM, this book is written in our words, by fellow FM sufferers. I just wanted to say thank you to those who recommended it!

As for mornings, it does seem to be the worst time for us

I finally started keeping track of how I felt and that's when I got the FM diagnosis. Mornings were definitely the "red flag". I too have a horrendous time waking up. I finally put my alarm clock across the room and also alarm on phone. I timed them a minute apart, and that helped too. Can't hit snooze when 2 alarms are going off across the room! This way I HAVE to get out of bed to silence them. Not fun, but it works.
I second the thyroid testing, I have hypothyroid and take medicine for that. Good luck!

This week was rough for me, feeling very achy, tired and down. This morning I realized I was feeling better, and then it hit me; THIS is a Fibro Flair! For many years, I've had what I called "Dark Hole Days". You know, when you feel crappy and depressed. I really think it was FM all along.
So there's my epiphany for the day LOL
