Hi, I haven't written on a blog before but have started to feel very alone with my condition. I am 34, eat healthy foods and exercise. I am not sure yet what is wrong with me, I've had a neck MRI, electromyography test and many other tests and doc appointments. At night I started getting numb arms on and off all night, over the last mine months it has progressed to an aching pain in my arms and hands most of the day and a tingling to the left side of my neck. My ankles have also started aching at times. Is this familiar to anyone? My tests have shown nothing and I am more than frustrated with it all. Thanks in advance.View Thread
MiMi it was really refreshing to hear from you. Wow you have had a tough time hey. Good that you are better now.
Just to answer your questions, I have had an MRI and this was for my neck and it only showed a bit of a fluid lump which apparently wouldn't be anything to worry about and wouldn't affect my arms or neck. I have another MRI coming up at the end of the month which is for my cervical spine and brachial plexus. Hopefully something will show which can be sorted. I have has an EMG and this showed I have remarkable strength in my hands so I guess no carpal tunnel. I have tested abnormal twice for high vitamin b12 but no one thinks is related, apparently only numbness occurs if lacking in B12. I have had lots of blood tests but will check with my consultant if I've had vitamin D tests as my identical twin is low with this at the moment.
Thank you for the advice I will look more on here. Only other differences I thought I'd mention- I don't get elbow or shoulder pain much it's more aches in my hands and sometimes feels like someone is digging hands into my muscles at the top of my arms, I believe this is the median nerve.
I am pleased to hear you have found ways around this and will look into options of how to do this. Funny how someone named it the dragon it is very apt. Anyway THANKYOU again!!!are you in NYC? XxView Thread
