Mimi - bummer on the vanishing post ! Hope your day gets better.
Nancy - sure hope the eye issue isn't forever. Sounds like the pool closing plan is a good one and easy. I know what you mean about the cleaning. I need to clean and declutter. Right now it is overwhelming.
Overdid it a bit yesterday. Was miserable last night. Quite a bit of pain last this morning but way better than last night.
It is so beautiful here in NC today. I was able to run 8 miles again this morning and for that I am thankful. I love running and feel so good when I am doing it. I pray Fibro doesn't take it away from me. I spent some time stretching after then got in the hot tub for about 15 min. Now I'm on the sofa icing my hips.
Rough night last night. Up about 5 times to use the bathroom and was in q lot of pain. Realized this morning that I forgot to take my Savella last night. Ugh.
Mimi - hope you hear from the doctor on your knee soon. I think that article is spot on. It is so hard to look at Fibro as an opportunity but I pray everyday that God will use me in some way to help or inspire others with Fibro or other struggles. Some good has to come out of this crap right?
Hi Ladybug, I am newly diagnosed and understand what you are experiencing. I work full time and have 2 busy kids. It's been a struggle.
There is hope. Like everyone else said you have to get up and move. I know it doesn't make sense and it is hard and painful. But it helps. It helps the pain and your brain. Start small and work up. Just a little walk and gradually increase.
Talk to your doctor about meds. Mine gave me Trazodone for sleep and it has helped a lot. I actually had to cut my dose in half. I also started Savella. It has given me some nausea but my pain is improving and I'm feeling better.
Now if I could just learn to not overdo it when I feel good ( like yesterday) because today I feel like hell. But that is how it is with Fibro. Live and learn.
Sitting here on the sofa icing my knees and hips.and drinking coffee. Ran 8 miles yesterday for the first time in months. It felt great. Knocked my pretty tired later but not awful. Lots of stretching and using my foam roller to ease the tender points. Ouch.
Having a mini girls weekend with my daughter, 13. Hubby and son went to Virginia yesterday for a fantasy football draft ( in our old neighborhood). We went shopping. Had to get a present for a birthday party she is going to this afternoon. She also had some pet sitting money burning a hole in her pocket. We ordered pizza for dinner and hung out. She is so amazing.
Glad for a long weekend as work has been crazy and an extra day off is always nice !
The Savella seems to be helping my pain. Which is awesome. Mornings are still pretty bad though. Fatigue still there but what can you do. Sleeping is MUCH better with the Trazodone. So all in all I am slowly improving. Happy about that.
Enjoy your weekend and try to move at least a little. I know it is so hard but it really does help.
Missist. - I am not sure if that is bipolar. But might be. I had not heard those statistics before.
I had a great weekend. Over did it of course and ended up paying for it but.... was still nice. I ran a 10K on Saturday and it felt awesome and I beat my goal by more than 5 min. Then helped my husband and son work on a gate for our back deck.
Yesterday went to Church then back to. School shopping and grocery shopping.
Ran 4 miles after the kids went to school. Now I'm at work. Sure wish I felt as good as I feel while I'm running all day!View Thread
Chiming in late this morning. Was up and out the door by 6:15am for my first 10K race. It was hilly, which I did not know until I got there. I was hoping to finish in 1 hour 15 min and I came in @ 1:09:07 !!!!
Even met another runner with Fibro! !!!
Absolutely beautiful day here! !'!'!
Kids go back Monday. Still need supplies. Ooops.View Thread
I got a 4 mile run in this morning and yesterday too. Mentally, and physically. I feel better when I run. Real stiff today and sore when I stand up from sitting. Time to use the foam roller and get some kinks out. I am running my first 10k race on Saturday. I'm excited and nervous. Not sure why. I know I can do it as I ran a half Marathon in April. Odd.
DD had her back to school night on Tuesday and my son last night. Seem to have good teachers. All seemed big on communication. Which is great.
Hope everyone has a great and pain free day.View Thread
First full day on Savella. Took first one last night. 2nd one this morning. Last night I took it with dinner and no issues. Took this morning with breakfast. Some mild nausea but not bad. Kinda shaky though.
Cutting my Trazodone in half is getting me good sleep without the grogginess and i can poop again YAY!View Thread
