So happy you got approval for your MRI and a quick slot!
Went to my PCP today with Rheumatologist diagnosis in hand. Dr was knowledgeable about treatment options and said ''I'm sure you've been doing a lot of reading. Do you have a preference? '' script for Savella starter pack and 2nd month at 50mg. Also Trazadone for sleep.
Bad news is no pharmacy near me had the starter pack in stock so I can't start it until Monday.
Dr said I will probably have to suck it up and deal with nausea for a couple weeks while I adjust. Yuck. But if it helps in the end I guess right?View Thread
Oh Mimi I agree, NC has had way too much rain this summer! !!! My backyard is having trouble drying.
I woke up rough this morning. Went straight to the hot tub. Feeling a little better. Might need another soak before I start my day.
Got quite a bit to do. I have to drive to VA tomorrow for work. 5 hours in the car I'm dreading since I was almost in tears after 2 hours last week. Tuesday I have a 5 hour meeting and a 5 hour drive home. Ugh.
Looks like it's going to be beautiful day here today!View Thread
Hello - new here and just diagnosed this week. While I have been coping with chronic pain on and off for years this flare that led to diagnosis is the first that has left me devastated by simple limitations.
I can hardly get the hatch on my van open. For a couple of weeks I actually could not. If the milk jug is full I cannot get it out of the fridge.
It makes me mad and sad that it is physically painful to pick up my cup of coffee and drink it.
I am not sure how to cope other than telling myself " suck it up buttercup '' I will not let Fibro win. I will not let it steal running from me nor my enjoyment of my morning coffee. I don't know how I will do it but Fibro isn't going to win. May have me down for the moment but it better be prepared for a fight.View Thread
I am a runner ( though my running is suffering along with me LOL. Still at it but it isn't easy.) I generally feel better while running and after. It the getting out the door.
Vitamin D levels are good. Thanks for that tip. Will keep an eye on that.
I have been using my Foam Roller for massaging each day and although it hurts something awful it feels better after so I suck it up!
We just purchased and installed a refurbished hot tub. I cannot tell you how much it helps. The last 3 nights after getting in for at least 20 min I slept better and had a huge decrease in pain at night. I had hardly slept for 3 months now. The last few nights the pain has left me alone until almost 5am.View Thread
