Definitely DON'T overexert yourself. Doctors say that "moving more eases Fibro." This is COMPLETELY FALSE. It's so untrue and especially with everything else you have going on, it's probably doing much more harm than good. Your body needs rest and recover just from everyday life. Overexerting can cause much more unnecessary stress. Do stretching. Yoga does WONDERS for people with fibro. Just easy, beginner yoga. Nothing complicated. It WILL help.
But I would say first and foremost to PLEASE go get acupuncture! It can give you immediate relief from the everyday agony you are going through. It truly is the ONLY thing that can get right to the source of our pain. The DEEPEST most troubling spots, acupuncture can relieve that pain. And autoimmune, and hormonal problems, depression, sleep problems, EVERYTHING, acupuncture fixes all of that. It gets to every single level of our suffering. Please, I beg you to go check it out. It will help so much.
Honestly, I have been getting acupuncture done weekly for almost 2 years now. It's definitely been an investment and it took a long time to start getting permanent results but I am finally gaining my health back. It IS possible. And even if you don't think it's possible (which I, at many points in my journey did not think it was possible), it will at least be one hour a week that will COMPLETELY RELIEVE YOU OF ALL OF YOUR PAIN. That, to me, is 100% worth every penny. For someone who is suffering so much every single moment of every single day - that 1 hour of being pain free is the BEST thing in the entire world. It's the one and only thing I truly look forward to every single week because I know that every time I go, I improve more and more.
All of the medical knowledge in the world can't understand Fibro, but Acupuncturists know how to treat the whole person, not just one symptom here or there like medicine does (and not to mention the horrible side effects). And Acupuncturist actually KNOW what Fibro is (it's way more complicated than anything you could imagine, we can get into that another day). People in China have been getting cured of Fibro for centuries! Fibro is like hardly even an issue in China because people just get Acupuncture and get cured. This is all true, I've done PLENTY of research myself. To get specific about Acupuncture treatments- you should really look for an Acupuncturist who studies Traditional Chinese Medicine and who is trained in Classical Chinese Acupuncture. These are very specific qualifications and they are the BEST healers for us. I'd be happy to help you Google around your area to find a good one if you want. Seriously, there is NOTHING better that you can do for yourself than to go see an Acupuncturist.
Now, that I am starting to feel remission I have goals and hopes and dreams again (something I absolutely did NOT have when I was feeling as bad as you are). My dream is just to get other sufferers to try Acupuncture so they can get better too. Things I have learned about this disease are truly mind blowing. I want other people to experience this, to get better and to HEAL! It IS possible and I am living proof of that. All I want to do is help others get to remission. And seriously, Acupuncture is the 1st and most important step to that! Diet changes are VERY important too, and adding yoga to your life is also very beneficial. But ACUPUNCTURE first and foremost. I seriously cannot say it enough. JUST DO IT!!
I've posted on here many times talking about Acupuncture and naturally healing from Fibro. I'm about 4 months into my most recent acupuncture treatments and I am truly in REMISSION. The fibro is literally draining from my body and my health is being restored!! Today, right now, I am about 90-95% pain free. I feel AMAZING! I'm thinking about starting a blog or video channel to better explain the treatments I get and my findings about what exactly fibro really is (hint: it's not at all what doctors think).
I can really only explain things from my experience though, and with fibro, as we all know, everyone has it very differently. I've been able to recognize a lot of the not-so-obvious but also VERY IMPORTANT symptoms that come with Fibro. Other than the severe pain, the IBS, brain fog, sleep problems, and depression there are other more subtle symptoms that explain a lot about our Fibro. It's important to recognize these symptoms too because they better explain our Fibro. I'd love to go more into it but I'll save that for the blog. Right now, I am just looking to compare and see what other symptoms you guys have.
I've narrow them down by 'area' but I want to keep these vague. Tell me anything and everything that can relate to you! I am looking for how these symptoms can manifest differently in different people. There's no wrong answers here. These are the questions your doctor will never ask you because THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FIBRO.
Please comment below and list ALL that apply to you!! And if there is something that you have in a specific area that I did not list, please let me know!!!! Thank you! Your input is MUCH appreciated!
Skin Problems • Chronic Acne (had acne for years that no matter what products you use always comes back and never fully goes away) • Cystic Acne (large pimples that are deep) • Eczema • Rashes (Small or large, I have one the size of a dime on my hand, that counts. Seriously, any rash that comes and goes but never fully goes away) • Abnormal Body Hair (every since I got Fibro I started sprouting chin hairs that are VERY thick, literally too thick for the follicle that they come through so it causes irritation. I've also always had problems shaving because my hair was too thick and my skin was too sensitive) • Itchiness • Pale skin • Mosquitoes are addicted to you. • Any other skin problem that you might have that I did not list, please comment below.
Mouth Pain • Itchy Gums • Achy Teeth • Jaw Pain (Many people with Fibro have this, it's very very common) • Tongue Tension - tongue is always touching the roof of your mouth.
Sinus Problems • Nasal drip (a constant nasal drip where you are regularly swallowing mucus) • Regularily has mucus in throat, head, nose. • Plugged ears, pressure in ears • Allergies • Eye Headaches • Cannot hear well
Lung Problems • Cannot use FULL CAPACITY of lungs (this is an important one, recognize it if you have it. If you can't take REALLY deep breaths in and out then you identify with this) • Mucusy cough that won't go away • Allergies • Asthma (if so, please explain to me exactly how your asthma feels) • Airway feels constricted
Stomach Issues • Appetite Problems (either you have trouble feeling full and you over-eat often or you are not hungry enough. These are symptoms that you likely have to pay very close attention to. I'm sure many of you don't recognize when you over-eat) • Bloating (often, essentially after every meal) • Uncomfortable after eating (again, kind of like bloating but can also refer to stomach pain or digestive pain) • Pain or discomfort after consuming alcohol. • Weight gain • Having the need to feel full, or overly full.
Yes, those are all Fibro symptoms. Go see an Acupuncturist please (specifically one who studies Traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture). It's actually a GOOD thing you're not on medication anymore, it truly does more harm than good for Fibro sufferers. I've been getting acupuncture treatments for the past 4 months and right now I'm sitting here with hardly ANY pain! My body is restoring it's health back and I owe it ALL to natural healing. My Fibro is about 90-95% GONE. Remission IS possible, but it's only possible through the natural way! I am living proof of that!! Pills don't help people like us, our disease is much more complicated than a simple chemical mixture.View Thread
I am SO GLAD to hear you are taking a natural path!! That is what I have done and over the past 4 months I have made HUGE strides in getting rid of my fibro!! Right now, I am about 90-95% PAIN FREE!!! I feel better and better every single day and my health is finally being restored! And I did it all with ZERO medication. In fact, during my healing, I have learned that medication actually made things MUCH worse. I suggest everyone with fibro get off all meds but no one listens because they don't know the natural alternatives.
I see a Classical Chinese Acupuncturist once a week who gives me treatments for a disease called Divergent Meridian. I'd LOVE to explain more to you about that, it's truly fascinating, but the only important thing you need to know about it is that is EXTRACTS the fibro from our bodies!! The truth about fibro is that it is an infection that has spread through multiple levels of our body. These treatments help pull it out. Medication HINDERS the infection from coming out of your body. I also take natural herbs that help prolong the treatments. I am have been blown away with the amazing results I've had. I'm thinking about starting a blog of video channel to talk about the treatment and how I've been able to restore my health. Remission is possible!! I am living proof of that! And you can get remission too!!!
Healthy diet and acupuncture are THE CURE!!!!!!!!!!View Thread
YES this is part of the dragon!! I actually just logged on here to ask a question about the "not-so-obvious symptoms" of Fibro. I am now about 90% pain free, I've been going through a ton of amazing treatments and I'm truly HEALING! But along the way I have learned that there are MANY other symptoms other than the normal laundry list that we have - this includes mouth pain!! I'm glad you've recognized it. It's hard to isolate different pain when we have SO MUCH OF IT. But seriously, this is part of Fibro, amongst many other not-so-obvious symptoms. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do to get rid of that isolated pain since it is likely coming from inside your head, sinuses, and ears (many other people with fibro have jaw pain, that also comes from the same source).
Look out for my other post to see if there are other not-so-obvious symptoms that you have. I'm thinking about starting a blog or making some videos for people to help better explain what exactly fibro is and how we can get rid of it. Remission is possible and I am living proof!!!View Thread
I wrote out a nice long post today about how I am in remission from Fibromyalgia. I'm improving daily, my health is restored and I wanted to give others information and HOPE so that they can get better too. And my post gets deleted?? Whatever. Clearly someone in this community doesn't want others to get help.
Good riddance Web MD. I'll take my healing knowledge elsewhere.View Thread
Agreed!! I absolutely love this!!! I have found so much HELP in changing my attitude and changing my routines to be more healthy!! I am so much happier with how my life is now. I don't feel like I'm suffering anymore, I feel like I'm dealing with it. Which is progress for me!!
Haha I actually don't mind doing the dishes because I am always soooooo cold and LOVE a chance to run my hands under hot watcher for a few minutes! ha!View Thread
