Hello Dollbug, cute name. My Endo checks my Vitamin D lvl all the time. Twice I have been really really low. So now I take OTC vitamin D every day. I have a real poor diet, I don't usually eat during the day, only a dinner time. For some reason I just don't have an appetite. I blame it on Menopause. I'm sure all my vitamin levels are low.
I've been using a heating pad daily for 6 years for back pain. For my woman pain, I sit on an ice pack. So I have heat on my back and cold on my woman spot. My body is totally confused. hehe.
So you sit on a *gel pillow*? Where did you buy it? It sounds wonderful, except one thing, I can't have pressure against my woman area. If I could find a gel pillow that had a hole in the front, that would be fabulous.
I fell on my tail bone when I was rollerskating when I was 13 yrs old. You hurt yours falling off a horse eh? I fell off a horse one too. The stirrups were way too long and so were the reigns. I was riding a Quarter Horse and running it as fast as it would go. All of a sudden there was a bobbed wire fence, I tried to pull up on the reigns but they were to long, it was way too late anyways, the horse put on the breaks and I went flying over its head and landed right on my butt. Ya know the saying "go pound sand"? Well, I did. I had sand in every little place on me. LOL Anyway, sorry about the horse story. I used to own horses and I miss them terribly. ok, so blah blah blah. Im just blubbering now. Please excuse me.
Thank you for the help. You seem like a very kind and caring person. You remind me of Chrissy the moderator, she has fibro. I miss her. Anyways, thanks for everything. I'm going to start taking a multi vitamin for sure. I will look for source one.
Hello everyone, I don't have Fibromyalgia but I do have something called Vulva Lichen Simplex Chronicus and it effects my nerves in my lower area (woman area), buttocks and inner thighs. My Dr.s have been treating the nerve pain with Lyrica but Lyrica only worked for about 2 months, now it only takes the edge off the pain. I was also prescribed Gabbapentine and Amatryptaline but they did not work at all. I also have back pain and tail bone pain. So my Dr.s have been wanting to treat my symptoms, both woman pain and back pain, as if I had Fibromyalgia, although I don't have it. So my question is, what pain medications do you use for your Fibromyalgia?
I know that you guys suffer greatly daily from pain and I am so sorry for it. I suffer from daily pain as well and sometimes my pain levels are a 9. So I really need to come up with some other kinds of meds.
Ok peeps, I have another question about Lyrica. I take 150 mgs twice a day. Ive been on it for two months and Ive gained 10 lbs. eeeeekkkk Does this weight gain thing ever level off or am I going to continue gaining weight until I blow up? Also, does it cause water retention?View Thread
The more I read what you girls are writing the more I wonder if it is menopause. I dont have fibro and was only visiting the community because I had a Lyrica question and I ran across this post. Are you girls on Lyrica by any chance?View Thread
AHA!!! Menopause!!! The same thing has been happening to me too but I was blaming it on the Lyrica. So maybe it is because of menopause. And to think, I used to have a problem trying NOT to pee when I coughed, sneezed or laughed. Now I have the opposite problem.
Has anyone ever experienced flushing of the face while taking Lyrica? I take 150 mgs of Lyrica twice a day and I noticed today that my face was flushed with blotchy patches.
After taking Lyrica for a month or so, I dont experience many of the side effects anymore, but sometimes I will have that spaced out feeling. Im hoping that after taking it for another month I wont have any side effects.
What experiences have you guys had when taking Lyrica?View Thread
Hi, I dont have Fibro but I thought that my question would be better answered on this board since Lyrica is used by Fibro patients. I have LSC and was recently prescribed Lyrica 150 mg twice a day for my pain. Can I take Lyrica for a long period of time, as in years? Im too terrified to ask my Dr. for fear of her taking the med. away. I know, its a stupid fear but Ive had agonizing pain 24/7 for an entire year and this is the only med. that has helped and my fear is its only a temporary med. It would crush me to have my Dr. take it from me.
Hi honey bunny, The pain in my arms has stopped. Yiippeeee. I have an apt. with my family Dr. on Thursday and Im going to ask him for a referral to a back and neck specialist. So hopefully I can find out whats really going on. muahsView Thread
Hello Dr., that pretty girl is my Chewy, she is my little angel.
So what your saying is, each problem should be treated as separate problems. I mean, my necks arthritis, slipped disc and thinning of one disc be treated, also my scoliosis, my tail bone (which is something I injured when I was 13) and my shoulder pain, be treated as seperate problems, but also go ahead with the Fibro treatment?
I hope that was too confusing.
Thank you for taking the time out to respond to my post.View Thread
Hello Cece, The pain specialist wants to put me on an anti depressant and an anti seizure med., but I explained to the Dr. that Im Bipolar and am on special meds and that I cant add those meds that he wants me to. My Psychiatrist would have kittens if I were to take those meds.
Ive had my Vitamin D lvls checked along with a number of other tests done. I have a number of other health problems that would make your head spin if I were to list them here. lol. So I get regular blood test done every 6 months, 10 vials worth.
Here is the entire list of meds Im on now. I will list the pain meds first.
and a number of inhalers for asthma.
Thank you for taking time to reply to my post.View Thread
