Yes I can, I made it a few more years going all natural. Then I got so bad I would turn on an exercise tape and just lift my arms and legs. The three miles I walked kept decreasing as well. All the supplements I took no longer worked.
Then I turned to my family Dr. And used antidepressants and massage, it helped for a while.
Now I am not afraid to mix alternative with my Rx meds. It took some time to find what works and to find Dr.'s willing to work together, sometimes I am on my own to discover what works together, just make sure nothing interacts. Vitamins are powerful and not all vitamins and meds can be mixed.
I use a chiropractor, Naturopath and PCP who happens to be an osteopath. Never give up moving no matter how limited, I feel like I am always starting over with exercise. It is still one of the best pain relievers for me.

Linda my heart goes out to you, I have lost too many friends an family in the last few years. It is hard and nothing you can do, death is just not natural or it would not hurt so bad.
Cory get all you can get done when the insurance is there. I told all Dr.'s I have no more out of pocket for the year so do anything necessary while I have no co pay.
Lisa I agree, you must keep trying or the alternative is sliding back fast. I realize at times some will not be able to do that.
I am one with multiple issues but somewhere I find what it takes to keep fighting. I remember back in the 90's when exercising was a problem and I would start a routine and sometimes all I could do is stand there and lift my arms. My 3 mile walk is 20 min. now and I do Pilates and stretches designed for people with chronic pain, but I keep moving.
I was talking to an oncologist nurse today telling her even during Chemo I prepared most of all our own meals. I had DH help me with the shopping but did not turn it over. A friend helped with housework so I had the energy to do my yoga tape for chronic pain at least five times a week. I believe it was the habits from living with fibro that kept me moving and according to what I have learned about survivorship movement is necessary.
I could list several other issues I deal with and I know it is movement that helps pain and attitude. I still use Tramadol as needed but use to keep moving. My heart goes out to those that cannot keep moving in some small way.
A friend of mine who died at 89 with congestive heart failure still would lie in her bed lift her legs and arms. She would even lift those legs and pedal. We may not have the life we want but we can live the best life possible.
Yes it is cold here in NW just glad I am not in Denver, Michigan and several other places as I am not ready for cold weather.

Not a professional but flexeril is not too good for seniors as it can cause heart issues and something to do with respiratory. ......not exactly sure. I has allergic reaction tha sent me to ER a couple years ago. They said muscle relaxers can relax ghe heart in some older persons.
