I understand and can relate to your situation. I don't have true food allergies but most foods trigger my asthma. I am allergic to latex so some of the foods I react to are a cross reactive for latex. We believe I may be reacting to the natural chemical make up fruits and vegetables like: fructose, etc. I currently can only eat white sweet potatoes and yams in the fruits and vegetable categories. If you have other allergies (environmental) you may be experiencing oral allergy syndrome. Certain pollens are a cross reactive for fruits. I was told when trying to identify problem foods to wait three days in between. This gives your body time to digest out the problem food. Also to rotate foods at least every four days or your body may become sensitive to them. I currently only have enough foods for a 4 day rotation except for my vegetables which is 2 days. Hang in there and I hope you get things figured out.

I use Chebe Bread. Two years ago they changed their packaging. So when it arived I was immediately concerned. My brother was here visiting and staying with us. He suggested to my husband to switch the new and old bread and see if I noticed. Really!!!??? Well at least I knew how he truely felt, he didn't believe me and that foods trigger my asthma. He thought I could make myself have an attack - it is all in my head.
Sorry, I got a little off traack. Hoping you find something that works.View Thread

Congratulations on your find!

I chose the Professional's Choice Comprehensive Plus Testing. It tested: 234 foods, 60 enviromental chemicals, 28 molds, 45 additives/preservatives, 20 F, D & C color additives and 14 toxic minerals/metals.
The test was very beneficial to us and helped us to understand why I can't eat so many foods. Also left us a little overwhelmed with how crazy do you get eliminating things and changing your life. I obviously elminated any foods that trigger my asthma, but other things are tough. The other challenge is that my reaction may be delayed by hours or days. In the past my reactions were within an hour.
Bad thing is the lab that processes the test does not accept insurance, so it is out of pocket. I have submitted a bill to my insurance but haven't heard anything yet.
Hopefully this information may help one of you.

Glad to hear from you. No, I don't know. I go back to the dr on monday and have a list of questions for him, including how to recognize a delayed reaction. Our home is already very safe for me and I pretty much have the same routine, so if I have a reaction I can kinda pick out something different. I also have a consistant diet. I keep a daily diary of things I do, symptoms I may have, etc.
If anyone has a latex allergy and could provide me with information, I would be very appreciative.
Tkae care.

I recently had the ELISA blood test done and found that I had a strong reaction to lemons (among many other things). I know to not ingest anything with lemon or it's oil. But do I need to stay away from cleaning products with lemongrass used as a fragrance?
My symptoms: rash, voice change, chest tightness and shortness of breath.
Thank you for you rhelp.

Wanted to pass on some information. I also try to stay away from medications and recently my allergies/sinuses have caused congestion, sore throat and raspy voice. My doctor gave me Hell Allergy Homeopathic Medication and it has worked great. It can be given to children and adults. I did see it at my local Wegmans in the health food section. Maybe it is something you could check into and check with your dr.
Hope everyone is doing better.
