Hi Casey sometimes we have to back off with Children make sure healthy items are available but do not serve them to him make sure you show enjoyment in eating the healthy food kids are usually curious about what we eat My Children both have learned to enjoy healthy foods .. when they saw me loveing a food they asked what it was I responded grown up food and of course they asked to try it .. he must be drinking something as well so maybe get some vitamin enriched drinks for him . I know the harder you try to get a kid to do something the more they resist Good luck Hugs Judy:)View Thread
Hi Bekkaboo I think recipes aren;t really needed to get a healthy eating plan . breakfast can be bran flakes 1 serving with a few strawberries and fat free milk ... an orange too learn to drink more water black coffeee tea with lemon
my dinner lunch is my main meal usually a small piece of chicken or beef or pork chop a baked small sweet potato a green vegie steamed a side salad the change I made here is to dilute wishbone Robusto dressing with wine vinager..
my evening meal is usually a half a sandwich on whole grain or pumpernickel bread with left over small amount of chicken
I also have a snack of a small apple with 1 tablspoon peanut butter on this I switched to natural peanut butter
also I have a dessert of fay free greek yogurt 1/3 C with 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries 1/2 Tablespoon honey
and a snack of 1 1/2 ounce of pistachios in shell
It is helful to have a food scale the above is a typical day for me Hugs Judy:)View Thread
