I'm concerned because I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for 5 years with no issues, but last month my period was 3 days late. I thought it might be from all of the stress of moving and the increased physical activity. I started my new pack on time as usual and my period continued for about 2 days after starting my new pack, making my period a little shorter than usual since it was late. Now I am 5 week 3 pills from my first white week 4 pill, and have been spotting for about 2-3 days. I have only had sex twice in the last 2 months, the first before my late period last month and the second about 3 days ago. I have not been late taking, nor have I missed any of my pills, except taking a couple of the white pills at once last month because I missed a couple days in a row.
Please help!View Thread
Is there anything I can do to prevent any further problems?View Thread
My period isn't as heavy nor is it associated with the usually painful cramps. I am bloated, but it feels as if there is a sort of "traffic" situation internally. By that I mean, there is obviously blood that needs to come out, but additionally bowels & urine. I feel like I keep having to urinate, but every time I go, I don't get everything out. And toward the end of each, I get this weird sensation/pressure. Not painful, and urine doesn't burn. Sort of an uncomfortably good sensation (?) I am also very gassy, and constantly feel like I need to have a bowel movement. My initial thought is that there is so much going on inside that needs to come out and that is why I have discomfort. I am worried the problem might be something along the lines of a UTI or some kind of an infection...
Some additional information: I am 20 and recently became sexually active again after about 6-7 months. I initially had some trouble as far as vaginal lubrication went, but had sex a few days ago without a problem. It was however, unprotected sex. The discomfort didn't begin until the end of the first day, when I noticed my body almost wanting to reject the tampon I was wearing. I did get very turned on earlier that day, I wonder if that had any effect?
Also, for some time I've been concerned with being more gassy than usual, as well as being bloated very often. It just seems like something isn't right in my stomach and my body is often pretty angry with me. I live a healthy lifestyle. I exercise and eat healthy, drink a lot of water, etc.View Thread
Last April I had an ablation because I was bleeding and because the doctors were not able to do a successful pap on me.
I stopped bleeding for a few months then it started again. As I have been dealing with my brothers death, I haven't seen the doctor but have an appointment in the next 10 days to find out why. I bleed almost everyday. I might have a few days off and then I bleed some more.
Doctor said I something about fsh doesn't show me in menopause. I am worried that this is really bad. I want to have a hysterectomy but I have sleep apnea and I am scared I won't wake up . I had a huge panic attack after the ablation and could not breathe.
I am so terrified.View Thread

I do not have health insurance right now and can't afford to go to a Dr. Does anyone have any suggestions? Help with what could be wrong, or help with guidance to where I can go for health assistance?View Thread

My doctor ordered a transvaginal ultrasound which was normal. This was done a week after the bleeding/spotting had stopped. However, for where we think I am in my cycle, he thinks the endometrium is thick - 13mm - it IS within normal limits but more like what it would look like if I was about to get my period. He did say it is likely a perimenopausal anovulatory cycle that I experienced.
I did have a benign uterine polyp a few years ago which was removed via fractional D&C in 2010 and all tissue was normal. So he is having me come in for an endometrial biopsy, I guess this is their normal protocol for 'abnormal' bleeding.
I'm scared. I know that if I have hyperplasia, it can lead to to uterine cancer. Has anyone had anything like this or been treated for hyperplasia diagnosed by endometrial biopsy? It would really help to know and have some info. Thank you for reading this.View Thread
Well the other night, I took a shower and when I got out I did my usual self breast exam. All the sudden one of the bumps in my areola was spotting tiny amount of dark blood. I squeezed and more kept coming out until after a few minutes it stopped. Since then it looks like it has been trying to scab over the tiny little hole, like the since of a pin. I have checked and I don't feel any lumps but of course I am a little worried. My husband thinks since my breasts are a slightly different size on each after baby and wearing a sports bra all the time, that it just got irritated. I don't know if thats it since its not the whole areola. Since then it has stopped and hasn't happened since and I have tried my best to leave it alone.
We were waiting to get health insurance since we just moved states and husband has started a new job. But because of this, I went ahead and signed up for insurance but awaiting approval and effective date. In the meantime, does anyone know how this happened or what it could possibly be? Maybe from doing the exam which I was performing a lot because I had been breaking out on my breasts from sweating. I just would like to advice to calm my nerves. Thank you!View Thread
I do not know why after all this time why I would be having "side effects" that I never had before. I also don't understand why my Dr. is not taking to me as to why this is occuring or what potentially is going on. I cannot find any information online and any I could get here would be appreciated.
Thanks So MuchView Thread
I'm in my late 30's. Have Mirena since 2008 and therefore have to remove it this Fall 2013. My OBGYN stated my options are open in terms of birth control since i can use any of them until I'm in my 50's.
Below are what I think are options. What should i go with and are there something else I should try?
1. Stay with Mirena - I've had no issues with Mirena since i first had it in 2008
2. Go with a different IUD - if so, what and why?
3. Go back to birth control pills - at least i know when my period will be and that it'll be regular flow. With Mirena, sometimes it's spotty and not necessary on schedule.
4. Have my husband get snipped - he's against that so that's not really an option
5. Have my tubes tied - i rather not do any surgery so that's not really an optionView Thread
I went to for a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound and they found nothing abnormal but found some nabothian cysts and an endometrial lining of 10mm. This is 3 days after my "period" ended.
I keep hearing stories that women have regular periods and find out later that they were in fact pregnant.
I have been feeling very tired, lower back pain and my breasts are sensitive on and off.
Is is too early to test? Am I pregnant?View Thread
I recently had an Ultrasound because of endometrial cells being present in my annual pap. Of course my pap was done on the first day of my period, which come to find out, we pass those types of cells during each menstrual cycle, so I've read anyway. I went in for the Ultrasound and the N.P. called me back (the one that did my annual pap) and informed me that I have two fibroid tumors (which I knew I had) but are the size of tennis balls...and I have a complex cyst on my right ovary at 3.5 cm. The N.P. told me that the cyst is mostly liquid but also has other particles to it and that is why she referred me to an actual Gynecologist to further investigate it. From what I've researched when you are nearing menopause, such as myself (I'm 48) this is a more serious issue. I have an appointment today with the Gynecologist and am hoping we can come up with a plan and that I walk out of there feeling a little more reassured than what I have felt the last 2 weeks. I have been so stressed and worried about this, that alone is making me sick. If anybody out there can relate and give me some advice, input etc. I would be so grateful.View Thread
