I had a hysterectomy & oopherectomy a month ago. I am on estrogen replacement, just estrogen not progesteron. Since about two weeks after my surgery my hair has been falling out at an alarming rate. Every time I shower there is a handful of hair in the drain and then when I comb my hair there is roughly the another handful that comes out on the comb. In the space of about three weeks I have gone from having relatively thick hair to having thin, stringy, fine, bairly able to to put into a pony tail hair. I can see my scalp through my hair in the area of my bangs. I can't seem to find any information about this online. I am becomeing very disturbed and frustrated. Is this normal? Will this hair come back or am I stuck with this stringy mess?View Thread
