Greetings! I am writing this post regarding my mother, not myself. My mother is 65 and has a problem with "shaking" during trips and travel, please allow me to elaborate. Often when traveling (this has happened by car, boat and air) she will being shaking from her hands, arms and face/neck for no reason that we can determine, the shaking lasts 45mins to an hour and seems to be helped by drinking Gatorade or Propel. During her shaking she is completely lucid and does not feel weak or confused - just unable to stop shaking. She has been to her GP several times and has been checked out - but they can find nothing that is the problem. They have run 2 hour glucose tests and chem panels, fasting glucose and BP monitoring and they have all come up clean. My father is convinced she is dehydrated and has her drink large amount of water/Gatorade/Propel before and during trips, but this has not helped her shaking. While she says this does not happen at home, we are not sure as we are not there to check on her and like all mom's she doesn't want us to worry. At this point, the issue is just about how to fix or at least diagnose the problem, but she doesn't know what to tell the doctor or what to ask for. Any help, thoughts or ideas for a next step would be great!
