For the last 2 1/2 months I have experienced the "phantom fetal movement." Pregnancy tests were both negative but my stomach is still growing and the kicks or movements are more consistent. Menstrual cycle is still on point, not having morning sickness or cravings for any unusual foods, but the thoughts and feelings are all confusing and scary. The "movements" occur mostly when I'm laying down or sitting down, pants seem to add pressure. If it's gas or or food movements why all of a sudden at age 40 am I feeling this? Why not during all my eating days, weeks or years? I can feel it throb, I can feel it by my belly button on the right and on the left side. I can feel it between my belly button and my pubic area. This is weird and scary at the same time, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one suffering from this weird symptom. I've decided after my menstrual cycle ( at the end of the month) that I will courage up and go to the doctor's office. I will not give up on my questioning the doctor until I can have an acceptable diagnosis. I thought that I might have worms inside my stomach, but that too was confirmed that it was not. I wouldn't want to end up on the TV show "I didn't know I was pregnant." I will post my diagnosis and share with all the women that are going through this. Another question, I wonder if men also experience this "movement."View Thread
