First of all the past 3 months I have hardly had a period at all. I have also been really stress with personal things in my life. I take birth control pills, on time everyday. In December I took some samples I had left from visiting my doctor, but I didn't really look at the date on them until after I already took them. They had expired on May 2012. The reason I took them was because I didn't really have the money to get my birth controls because the price has gone up and at that time I didn't really have the money for them and knew I had those samples. In January my period was just a little lite bleeding and that was all. I went and brought my birth control pills and have taken them. And now I am 5 day late of having my period. Before those 3 months I was always on time. I have taken a couple of pregnancy test (different brands and different ones) and they have all came back negative. I don't have an signs really of being pregnant but it is one of my fears when my period never comes. I also started taking bacterial medicine on Friday, since I have an infected toe and trying to clear it up. I'm just trying to figure out what sometimes cause people to miss a period and that. And if maybe age has anything to do with it. I just turned 28 in December. I have been taking birth control since I have been 18. I was on the patch for awhile, loved it. But then I wanted to switch to a pill and I have been on the pill for 3 or 4 years now. I would love some insight. Thanks!View Thread

Jane,
Thanks you for getting back with me. Everything you said made sense. I was wondering if maybe you could help me with one other thing. Do you know why the blue veins on your chest show more? I haven't noticed them before, and it seems like its only at night when I can really see them. I don't know if it would have anything to do with the medicine I'm on or not. I am a pretty pale person also. But this is really the first time I have see them so bright on my chest. It runs from my neck, to my chest to my breast. It sort of worries me a little.View Thread

I have decided its time to change my birth control. I was on the patch for about 6 years and I did like it. But I got a job working outside so I decided to switch to the pill. I have been on the pill for 2 years and don't really like the pill as much. Its not remembering to take it, I have alarm for that to remind me. Its the point that since I have been on the pill I'm dry a lot down there and my sex drive became nothing. Also I will sometimes have 2 periods instead of just 1 a month. That to me gets very old and upsetting.
I know I don't want the ring, because I don't feel comfortable about putting that in my body. I have been thinking a lot about the birth control shot.
I was wondering if people who have had the shot liked it or not.View Thread

I'm thinking about starting to use the birth control shots. First, for all of you that have had the shot did you like it? Also did you have to go to get it filled somewhere else and then take it to your doctors office? And if do you know why the doctors offices don't carry the shot in the office? They carry the HPV shot. I called my doctors office but the nurse that was on there was very very rude to me, so I thought I would come on here and ask my questions.

I want to change from the birth control that I'm on to a different birth control. I'm right now taking Junel (generic version of Loestrin). I have been taking that for 2 years now. I love having lighter and shorter periods, but since the 2 years I have been on it my sex drive has gone down hill fast. I'm 26 years old and I don't have a sex drive, which is killing my relationship with my boyfriend. Before that I was on the patch Ortho Evra and my sex drive was strong. I have been looking at different types of birth control and I don't know what I should choose. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I want something that will give me lighter and shorter periods and help build my sex drive back.View Thread

Not sure what is truely wrong with my body

So in April of this year I had kidney stone on my left side. Ever since then I have pains. About a month ago I had sharp pains on my right side from another kidney stone. I don't know if I even passed any of them. Everyone also told me you will feel them when you pass, the one time it did feel sandy but that was all. And ever since the last kidney stone my sides hurt. But now it both of my side every now and then, the come can go, but also everyday now. Every now and then I have lower abdominal pain, lower back pain, and just back pains. I went to the doctor he did a blood test (don't know what type of blood test, I know he was worried about my kidneys so I don't know if that is all he checked or not, they didn't tell me) they said it came back clean, that nothing showed up. I have been on Junel 1/20 for 2 years now. I have been on birth control since I have been 18 and I'm 25 now. My sister-in-law said something to me the other day that I didn't even think about. Every now and then my boyfriend and I have unprotected sex (no condom) but I never miss a pill and I'm always on time. I mean I take it off for that week to have my period and then take it at the same time everyday after that. I was wondering is it possible I could have ectopic pregnancy. I have been reading about it every since she said something and I mean I do have some of the symptoms but I have had no symptoms of early pregnancy. I'm suppose to have my period this week and I know it early yet, but I haven't gotten it yet. And yesterday I thought I was going to start but instead it was just a spot of blood and that was it. So could I be having a ectopic pregnancy or could it be just with my kidney stones? I'm asking on here first since I don't have health insurance and it cost a lot to go to the doctors. Thanks!!View Thread
