I am a 43 year old female and I just got my period again for the second time this month. I had it on the 6th of January and now again it started on monday. I do remember ovulating just a couple of days after I got off my first period of this month ( I have mittlesmirtz). Is this normal? I have never done this before but I've been under alot of stress lately and am perimenopausal. Should I contact my doctor is this happens again? I wanted to reiterate that it is a full blown period and not spotting.
My daughter is having the same issues at 11 years of age..I think it's normal to have erratic periods during the first year, but I too would be interested in Jane's response..I plan on asking my gyn at my next appt if this is indeed normal..it's bad enough they have their periods at such an early age, but too have it twice in one month? ugh..View Thread
My doc had put me on BCP to see if it would help my lower back pain issues. I started it May 8 and then 3-1/2 weeks later, I developed a major rash along with major water retention in my legs..I'm 40 years old, so I just quit taking them, with only 3 days left of the active pill, got a "period" 2 days later that was June 4th and have not had a period since..I was due this past saturday, took a first response pregnancy test with morning urine this morning and got a negative result..should I retest in a few days if I don't get my period? or could it be my cycle is screwed up because I quit the pill that way? I was only on the BCP for 3-1/2 weeks.View Thread
I would take a home pregnancy test..I know it can probably take awhile to get a period after BCP's, but it's been over a month right since you stopped them? I'm no professional, but I would take the HPT..you just never know!!! Good luck!!!! View Thread
I am being put on birth control at the age of forty..lol...is this safe? my gyny thinks so..I don't smoke. I am only going to be on for 3 months to see how things go..the reason why I am going on is because of horrific back pain during my cycles..I have arthritis in my lower back and my doc seems to think ovulation is aggravating it, since then is when I get the most back pain..anyone else here on it at this age? she prescribed nortrel 1/35..I haven't been on BC pills since I was in my early twenties, so I'm a little nervous..View Thread
