Hi I use peppers just sliced and added to my salads I add them diced and cooked to my omlets I also use them to make almost any meat a colorful display when cooking boneless chicken I add in sliced pepper maybe 2 different colors my favorites are yellow and red I don;lt really have much in a recipe but use peppers regularly Hugs Judy:)View Thread
Hi to make cranberry sauce for the holidays i buy the fresh cranberries and cook them with half the sugar in the recipie on the bag this takes almost 10 minutes to make and is much tastier than the allready made stuff,, slighly tart because of the less sugar thats what makes in a heaklthier plate and sometimes add in rasberries if available .. I also add dried cranberries to my stuffing .. Hugs Judy:)View Thread
1 Cup old fashioned rolled oats 1 1/2 Cup fat free milk hand full of craisins 1 T honey cinnamon to taste 1 empire apple peeled and sliced thin 1Tablspoon chopped walnuts or other nuts like sliced almonds work
use sauce pan and add enough water to cover craisins boil for a second or 2 add in honey and cinnamon then add in milk and oats cook till desired consistancy add in slice apples and cover let set for 5 minutes before serving top with the chopped walnuts that setting is enough to cook the apples to a tender yet still crisp I think pears woould work in this recipie too
I also like my apples sliced and topped with peanut butter for a snack I eat pears plain snack like
I prepare the brussle spouts by removeing any dicolored leaves and cuting a thin slice from the stem end and makeing a cross like cut into the stem end wash spouts then steam in steamer till tender pour out water remove steamer basket and melt a small amount of real butter into the pan with some minced garlic saute a few minutes stiring well.. turn off heat serve as green vegie with whatever these are yummyView Thread
