Good to see a discussion on vitamin k. I started taking vitamin K2 about a month ago. So far no noticeable changes, neither good nor bad, to mention here. I will let you know if I see any changes that I think is due to Vitmain K2.
I believe I get enough Vitamin K1 from green leaves every day.

If I did not believe that then in my situation I might as well get the multi-bypass operation and hopefully win a few more years.
As far as statins are concerned I think the side effects are worse then any so called benefits. So if you have the courage stop like I did. Five years after stopping I am still doing fine.

Of course the questions you ask are answered in a pamphlet that gets handed to a patient. But that is pure for light reading and not meant to be taken seriously.

"Overall, it is safer to eat a diet that will not permit heart disease rather than to rely on alcohol to decrease the potential of blood to clot. The bottom line is that the moderate drinking of alcohol is only an advantage to those who consume an unhealthy diet. There are no protective effects in low risk individuals consuming healthful, plant based diets with resultant low cholesterol levels. It is wiser to avoid the detrimental effects of alcohol completely and protect yourself from heart disease with nutritional excellence."
