I have stopped taking Lipitor, and all other medication, after the first 3 to 4 years. My numbers for the last two years are total 180 (4.5), HDL 44 (1.1), LDL 105 (2.7) and TG 100 (1.1).
Final result is I feel good, enjoy my life and stay away from the operating table.

"She sent me the advertisement for the bake sale they will have on Feb 8 to benefit the heart association."
As the advert says bake sale will benefit the heart association - and it does not say it will benefit normal people.

I have been drinking green smoothies for the last three years. I love the taste and the feeling of satisfaction. Whole glass full of healthy stuff to start off the day; just a great way to start the day.
My family likes to stick to milk and toast etc. They make sure I get my smoothie but they do not join me. That's ok with me. After all I did the same for the first 50 years. I am sure they will change when the time is right.
