O.K., so I'm really into green shakes now. I usually have one for breakfast. Sometimes for dinner. I use kale or collards, soy milk, and generally whatever I have around. Apple, carrots, avacado, whatever I have. Why couldn't McDonald's taste test various recipes for green shakes. Find one that is most appealing in taste to the masses and sell them as a nutritious, healthy alternative? They could even have more than one flavor. I think it would sell. Do you?View Thread
E.G. I have a couple of questions: 1. What do you generally put in your green shakes? 2. Do you believe you get the same sense of fullness from drinking a green shake as you would from eating a salad? 3. Do you just drink one for breakfast or do you ever drink one for lunch or dinner?
Now that I've got your attention.....I have a personal belief that my sex life has been better on a vegan/low fat diet. Don't believe it is my imagination. I feel like I have a higher libido, more stamina, better blood flow (no need for Viagra!). No complaints from my girlfriend! (not that she ever complained before). Maybe high nutrition eating lets blood flow better down there much like it does for ones eyes?

For the first time ever I have a small garden. It has been a learning experience and very rewarding. I highly recommend it especially for people trying to eat more fresh vegetables.
I want to tell you how easy kale and collards are to grow. And both grow so fast! Had fresh kale in a green shake this morning. Love cooked collards but I like them southern style with a little meat and probably too much salt. Everything is taking off with the warm/hot weather. 93 here in Florida yesterday
E.G. I totally agre "all things in moderation" does not work for me. I did the ETL program twice before only to revert back when I had one foot in the nutritarian world and one foot in the non-vegan world. For me, I have found it has to be all or nothing. This time I don't want to undo the progress I've made so I'm going to try to stay true. I still don't make my own salad dressings and I do flavor my beans with meat but otherwise adhering pretty strictly.View Thread
Delores: I too have cravings. Once it was KFC, them subs.... I had the strangest craving yesterday for spring mix! I'm eating lots of salads and green leafy vegetables, but cravings for spring mix was new for me. Must be working if I'm craving greens! Good luck! I'd also suggest reducing the carbs. Those and added salt can make you stagnant in your weight loss.View Thread
