I'm sorry that you didn't get a fast enough reply to your question to make it before your vaccination deadline.
I hope you (or a physician) were able to explain to your employer that the vaccinations are to be given in staggered doses and they made the exception for you to maintain your position.
I would definitely follow the recommended procedure for vaccination. As much as I hate needles, I wouldn't want to be stuck more than I have to but I'd rather KNOW I'm protected and not have to go back and re-do anything.
Thanks Peanut for bringing this to my attention again. We choose the very best Experts for our Communities so sometimes we can expect a delay in replying due to their schedule. I sent Dr. Palmer a little note today...I'm sure she will be checking in very soon. View Thread
WebMD has added three NEW communities that you all want to check out for more advice and conversation with members like you!
1. The NEW WebMD Men's Health Community with expert advice from Dr. Sheldon Marks, should be a great place for you to discuss all of your male health concerns.
2. You can now talk about those very troubling relationship issues on our new Relationships and Coping Community with Dr. Becker-Phelps. If you are going through a tough time and need to bounce some questions off other members or get feedback from our experts, this community is here for you.
3. Whether you have just been diagnosed, are living with cancer, or caring for someone who is going through treatment, the NEW Cancer Community is a place to get guidance from our experts as well as help and support from other members like you.
I hope you will all check out and enjoy the new communities WebMD has created for you. But, don't forget your family here on own community.
You are correct about a latency period for HIV. Since I am also the Mod on the HIV & AIDS Community I knew about this great post where our health expert shared on "Latency period from exposure to HIV".
Be sure to check that article out on our HIV & AIDS Community and post there as well, if you like.
As far as the cost of health care...well, we can say plenty about that, but if you look to the right side of your screen you will see a tab called Resources and a topic titled Free & Low Cost Health Care Resource which has tons of information on affordable medical care.
I hope these come in handy and wish you much luck in your pursuit. Please come back to update us or to ask any more questions.
Welcome to the Hepatitis Community. I'm sure our super helpful health expert, Dr. Palmer, will have a chance to respond soon, but I might also suggest posting your question over on our HIV and AIDS Community .
Our HIV expert, David Malebranche , is also a very attentive to the community and very helpful with his caring and informative advice.
You may have noticed some changes that happened to your Exchange after last weekeend. We rolled out a few new features and added back the ability for you all to add signatures to your posts.
Here are some of the new things to check out:
Finding Expert Content – On the front page of an Exchange you will now see “Includes Expert Content” if an expert has responded in a thread. So, if you’re just looking for expert feedback you can find it more easily.
Signatures – If you visit your Exchange Profile page you will now see a place to add your signature. You can add a different signature to each Exchange you join, so that it’s a more personalized experience.
TRIGGER – Moderators can now add a TRIGGER notation to a post. So, if you come across a post that you think needs a TRIGGER, send the link to our mods at ExchangeManagement@WebMD.net and someone will take a look and add TRIGGER if necessary.
Guest Experts and Sponsored Guests – Very soon we hope to be adding guest experts to some of our moderated Exchanges. These will be experts who are available for a limited time to answer questions about specific aspects of a topic. For instance, there might be a diabetes diet expert visiting the Diabetes Exchange. You may also notice “Sponsored” guests. These are experts that may be nominated by one of our site sponsors, and they will answer in much the same way as a guest expert, but it will be clear that their content is from a sponsor.
We hope that you like these new additions, and we welcome your comments and suggestions as well. Our product and engineering teams are already hard at work on even more changes and additions that have been suggested by our members, and we hope to have those ready soon.
Please feel free to write to us at ExchangeManagement@WebMD.net and let us know what you think.
