sounds like you have been through so much already. I understand your fear I wanted to trust my doctors but having been missed diagnosed since 1994 that was really hard to do. Hep C symptoms look like so many different things and all. I found out through a pre-employment screening. In my search for answers I found the Book "Living with Hepatitis C for Dummies. It has been extremly helpful. As for internet resources : cdc.gov - you will find under federal programs a link for department of veterans affairs a national hepatitus C program. lots of information there. Med scape is another good page. I have found there are many natural ways to cope with the symptoms but not cure.View Thread
Thank you for sharing with us; every tip is helpful. I am not currently doing the treatment but hope to be soon , I get mouth sores now and since doing a colon cleanse for my colonocopy the anal itching also. For the mouth sores I use a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water holding it in my mouth for at least 1 min. then rinsing with water. Dont swallow. For the iching I just started using a probiotic with homeostatic soil organisms, seems to be working for me but I will try the coconut oil. The probiotics replace the benificial bactiera in the gut that are destroyed by antibotics and cleanses. They may also help with the derma itching. Best wishes to you and to everyone induring the treatment.View Thread
I am so sorry to hear that you had to stop:) It must have been a very strong reaction to the treatment, because You are a strong person to have made a year of sobrity, so dont let this set back stop you from fighting this virus. There are alternive treatments that can help to maintain and even improve your liver function. Most don't claim to clear the virus just to help you live longer with it.
Please let me know of lingering side effects or damage done linked to the treatment.
I hope this message find you in a brighter frame of mind. God Bless you ssomnaedView Thread
ssomnaed~ Hows it going? You have been on my mind and in my prayers. I hope this message finds you stronger. How is the singing working for you? I am getting discouraged just waiting for my treatment to begin and I wont see my doctor until the 26th of this month.

I am with you on the harsh chemicals issue and I have delt with depression so I have some empathy for you. One of the things I have done that helps the sad feelings is increase the vitamin D particularly D3. The levels can be found through blood work. However I have read that if your D is to high it can interfere with the therapy. Cardio exercise is one of the ways to increase the happy indorphins and so is singing. To help with the detox I currently use Milk thistle but again it may interfere, drinking milk thistle tea should'nt. I use a trampoline 3 mins 3x a day to detox my limpnoid system. Finish your shower in cold water then use a natural stiff bristeled brush over your skin starting at your feet working in circular motion toward your heart. Fish oil for fat; my husband likes the Carlson's Nowegian Cod liver Oil. I really hope you are able to continue the treatment. Did you ask your Dr about that abilify drug it is reported to work with your antidepressant.View Thread
