Yes, it is hard sometimes that is for sure. I saw your post and felt the need to respond as we have a lot in common. I found out I had HCV back in 1998, but did not really have an effects until last couple of years. I was always tired, no energy just felt generally bad. I thought that it was all about getting older you know? Menoapuse etc... Had a liver biopsy 4 years ago and liver still looking good but my Dr. really felt it was time for me to do treatment. I started treatment back in Jan, and here it is May! It has been the longest 5 months of my life = but will be so worth it when done. I just want this out of my system!!! I try to keep the "CURE" in the front of my thoughts and make it through every day. AND I really try to stay grateful about what ever I can and make it one more day. The side effects haven't been fun, but it hasn't been any worse than my imagination was working up!! Good luck to you - I'm watching discussion so if you need to talk just let me know!-TLH in Tucson, AZView Thread

I finally finished the first three months and I'm done with the incivek now. I was in the same boat = I didn't eat breakfast before I started treatment so breakfast of 20mg fat was VERY different. I found that carnation instant breakfast was the easiest thing for me to get down. Sometimes, I would have 1/3-1/2 cup of almonds, a slice a pizza, or even a 1/2 avocado, sometimes two eggs wiith a pat of real butter. I did finally realize that I wasn't going to get the same kind of nutrition that I did before = but remember - this is only temporary. The incivek website also has lists of items equal to 20G fat.
Good Luck!View Thread

I started triple therapy treatment last Friday. Saturday was bad, but today is better. I think I'll be able to go to work tomorrow, I might not last the whole day but we will see. Honestly - I think that the 'thinking' about the side effects was worse than the last two days - but I'm sure there will be more bad days to come. I don't know about the second treatment being worse, but I know someone who has done two treatments - so I'll ask them and see. I probably wont see them for a couple of weeks, but I'll let you know as soon as I see them. I have been drinking tons of water, also eating my 20 g. of fat for the incivek dose. EVERYONE tells me that your attitude is key - so I'm doing the very best that I can to think positive....View Thread
