Gail, so matter what his exposure could have been, even if he had open wound to open wound bleeding contact with this person, as long as those OraQuick tests are negative, then he is negative, right?View Thread
So, after all the incidents: 7.5 weeks post exposure, sore throat with ulcer, headache, fever, feeling bad, 10 months later, rash on upper body, chest and back, 12 months canker sores, and tinea versicolor that is still with him...
At 10 months, he passed a OraQuick at home test, at 12 months he passed 2, at 14 he passed 1...
That is why I am worried!!! You still sure he is hiv negative?????
The negative tests are the only thing keeping me from going off the deep end!!!!! That is my only positive!!!!!View Thread
Just spent the last hour or two looking at Tinea versicolor... Not what I wanted to hear. Tinea versicolor along with one other skinn issues is one of the 1st indicators of a weakening immune system! So are cnker sores! So, I am extremely scared and feeling extremely guilty right now! I am traveling, and now I don't know how I am going o finish out my work week! I know you say that the OraQuik tests were correct, but I obviously, for good reason, still have my doubts! I am scared for him Gail!!! I need to know!!!View Thread
Does anyone have information on the validity of the OraQuick home test being used on children under the age of 17? OraQuick states that the test should not be used on children under 18 years of age. If a child unfortunately had hiv, would the test, if used correctly, detect the antibodies, or is there something different in children that would keep the test from detecting the antibodies?View Thread
I am sorry! I meant canker sores! Tell you what, If you can show me evidence that OraQuick Home hiv Antibody tests are accurate Von children, I will quit worrying! Trust me, I appreciate and value ALL you have helped me with!!! You are a Great peron who obviously cares about people! I obviously love my son dearly and am extremely worried about him! I truly want this behind me, knowing my son is 100% hiv free!View Thread
