Should I take my lopressor while I am getting fit enough to exercise without causing pressures to raise? I was told to take it when my pressure goes over 140/90. When I am not active it isn't up to that. ThanksView Thread

I have been experiencing elevated blood pressure during massage therapy. Normal is 110/70, pulse 63. During massage has gone as high as 147/110, pulse 106 and will remain in this range for 2 to 3 hours post massage. Then readings in 121/80, pulse 70. Sessions are one hour, and have had headache and dizziness after too. Today therapist avoided neck area suspecting it may cause increase in vascular flow. In general the massage is beneficial and relaxing, however, unable to explain why blood pressure becomes elevated during this time. There was no headache after today's session, however avoiding the neck area had no impact on maintaining a normal blood pressure. I drink water before and after sessions. Anyone else experienced such issues? This is not a common occurance.View Thread
