Check Dysautonomia, POTS ( Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and MACS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome). Symptoms for these conditions include BP spikes, fatigue, muscle aches, itching, GERD, migraines, stomach irritability, nausea, sweating, exercise intolerance, heat and cold intolerance, sometimes chest pain and shortness of breath on exertion. Yet, when tested for thyroid, heart, brain, adrenal, pituitary, kidney and lung functions, they all come out normal. Many patients get diagnosed incorrectly for chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia or just given anti anxiety drugs.
Many doctors are unfamiliar with these disorders as they are somewhat new and the presentation is complex with the symptoms not showing all the time. The BP spikes can be very sporadic.
This can be very debilitating. Life style changes, eating small meals,
drinking lots of water and taking some salt, walking at least 30 minutes/day and wearing compressions socks have helped.View Thread
