My name is Amber. I'm a Registered Dietitian & entrepreneur dealing with high blood pressure in addition to all the normal pressures of everyday life. Even though high blood pressure runs in my family, that doesn't make it any easier.
I couldn't find any blogs or websites that talked about high blood pressure in a real or conversational manner. Most of the blogs or websites I found were posted by hospitals or clinics. No thanks. I wanted to hear from a real person that I could relate to. Even though those sites contain great information, it didn't give me any real encouragement. In fact, it was downright depressing.
I didn't hear anybody else talking about having high blood pressure and that made me feel alone. That combined with the fact that I'm a Registered Dietitian, made me feel even worse because certainly none of my colleagues struggle with high blood pressure. Right???
That's why I decided to launch a blog about dealing with high blood pressure, stress, and other normal pressures of everyday life. So with all this stress we deal with each day, I started to ask the question….Is it possible to be healthy under pressure? Absolutely, but you have to learn how to manage it. I have always believed that if you are unhappy with your situation, you can do something to improve it.
